Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, must push herself beyond her limits when she discovers the island where her father disappeared.
The old, rusty airplane that Lara holds onto (that falls down the waterfall) is a World War II Japanese heavy bomber known as a Mitsubishi G3M, or as the Allieds called it, "Nell".
Lord Richard Croft:
May 17th, 2009. Further research on Himiko. According to legend, Himiko, the first queen of Japan was a powerful sorceress who ruled the empire through dark magic. Spreading death and destruction by the mere touch of her hand. She was only stopped ...
At around 57 minutes, after Lara escapes Mathias (as the scene turns to night), there is a close up of a Bearded Dragon in a tree. This is a desert lizard native to Australia and could not survive the humidity of the island.
SPOILER: The title doesn't appear on screen until the end of the film. Following this is a brief scene of Lara returning to the pawn shop where she sold her pendant earlier in the film. She then purchases two guns, implying she will continue the fight in sequel films (a brief clip of this scene appeared in the first trailer for the movie).
