I will say I was a HUGE fan of Lost. The show ranked at least a 9 out of 10 stars on a weekly basis in my book. But during the last season it began to spiral down drastically. This final episode/movie was the one that really ruined it all for me. From the very beginning, the creators admitted they were making it up as they went along, but it seems like towards the end they were struggling or had pretty much given up all pretense of having a plan. Even the special effects in the last few episodes were weak. The 'ruins' that happened to be just down the beach the whole time were obviously styrofoam. I mean, really? A whole new group of 'others' that were on the island the entire time?

It just seems to me, that after building the suspense and promising a bigger and bigger story for so many seasons, the last season was totally anti-climatic. If only there were some way to get a different ending. Maybe they should have let fans vote on possible endings or had a contest or something. That's just my opinion.

There are actually quite a special episodes from the television series "Lost" and I have seen some of them. This one here is the so-called episode 0 from season 5, an introduction to the penultimate season of one of the most talked-about television shows of all time. It is still very popular today, long after the show ended. I personally have not seen the series itself, but I have to say that none of these specials made me really curious about the unfortunately. It is really nothing more than summaries of what happened previously. Guess why? You will know by watching the previous season, 4 in this case. And people who are fan enough of the show to watch such a special here, will certainly know exactly what is going on currently. That is basically why I cannot see a lot of worth in this one here. It runs as long as a normal episode and what I maybe found the most disappointing about it is that you hear Lindelof, one of the creators of the show, but none of the cast appears in here and tells us something, not even as the narrator. That one is somewhat famous actor Doug Hutchison. Yes he played a character for a couple episodes on the show, but still.. I do not recommend checking out "Lost: Destiny Calls".
