  • "I just shaved…with a rock…the dull side" one of the few laughs out loud parts of this movie by George Lopez. This movie is exactly what you can guess, a family movie made for the young girls who are growing up and learning life lessons. As far as having a positive note and proper learning for kids this delivers, however when it comes to the content and overall fun it falls short.

I'm trying not to be critical because this is not a movie that is aimed at my demographic but I have found several Disney movies that I thoroughly enjoyed and this falls under the category of forgettable. It delivered what I expected a family movie with a lesson about family and friends but nothing more.

The editing could have been cleaner, and the story should have been told in a better fashion, too many holes were evident. Elizabeth Thai and Jane Lynch were what I found most enjoyable in this movie, they played there roles to be very straight forward but never went over the top like a few of the others.

All in all if you have a young girl who is looking for a fun movie this would suffice, I know my 5 year old niece enjoyed it very much.

5/10 Good but could've been a lot better
  • More people must see this film. From the editing by a person with ADHD, embarrassingly cliche plot points/characters, and to top it all off, one of the most awkward performances ever given in a film by George Lopez, you have a movie that you will be laughing at nonstop. Buy this movie, invite your friends, and enjoy.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Eddie (George Lopez) is one unorthodox but wealthy attorney, who wins cases with unusual techniques. However, at home, he is not exactly an attentive papa, sometimes, to daughter Naomi (Daniela Bobadilla). So, to make up for a few lost "occasions", Eddie agrees to take Naomi's Killer Bees troop to an endurance competition, out in the forest. Up against other troops like the Wasps, will the Bees fair well? From the start, its uncertain, for Eddie doesn't really even know how to pitch a tent and he upsets the head honcho, Ms. Hulka (Jane Lynch) by not even wearing a uniform! She also chastises Ed for putting on enough insect repellent to kill the trees. The Hulka has her eye on Eddie and tries to catch him in more offenses. But, despite getting caught in a rope trap and and pilfering Ms. Hulka's preserved black bear to scare the competition, things may turn out bright for the Bees! Any guesses? This is a cute, funny film, very similar to Troop Beverly Hills, but with a male at the helm. As such, Lopez is very humorous and his dry comments are instrumental in making the movie a success. Of course, Lynch has her dragon lady down pat and Bobadilla and the rest of the cast members are quite nice, too. The scenery is terrific, with a beautiful California wooded set, and the costumes, script and lively direction work together for the overall good. Families across the globe will mildly swoop for Mr. Troop Mom, to be sure. Laughs will abound.
  • this movie had me laughing at the most awkward moments which this movie is full of. if you got friends and wanna watch a movie so bad its good this is the one for you. other than awkward jokes it has good jokes such as George Lopez falling off a cliff or him. at the end its a good feel good movie with some stereotypes.
