A woman rebels against a tyrannical ruler in postapocalyptic Australia in search for her home-land with the help of a group of female prisoners, a psychotic worshipper, and a drifter named Max.
During the flashback sequence, after going through the crows, you can see eyes popping out briefly. This is an homage to Mad Max (1979) when a rider crashes into the front of a semi.
My name is Max. My world is fire and blood. Once, I was a cop. A road warrior searching for a righteous cause. As the world fell, each of us in our own way was broken. It was hard to know who was more crazy... me... or everyone else.
Obvious CGI fire on the front of the war rig just before Nux sacrifices himself. Rictus stands in the fire, and the flames are shown going all up his legs but at no point does he or his pants burn.
The Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures logos are rendered on a rusted metal background with the sound of an engine turning over.
