In a post-apocalyptic wasteland, a woman rebels against a tyrannical ruler in search for her homeland with the aid of a group of female prisoners, a psychotic worshiper, and a drifter named Max.
This is the second Mad Max film for screenwriter Nick Lathouris. As an actor, he played a brief role in Mad Max (1979).
My name is Max. My world is fire and blood. Once, I was a cop. A road warrior searching for a righteous cause. As the world fell, each of us in our own way was broken. It was hard to know who was more crazy... me... or everyone else.
When Max escapes the People Eater's limousine/mobile refinery, the People Eater's foot is shown engulfed in flame, implying the explosion has consumed the forward part of the vehicle. However in the next scene, the vehicle is shown completely intact with only the rearmost trailer in flames.
The Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures logos are rendered on a rusted metal background with the sound of an engine turning over.
George Miller prepared a black-and-white version named 'Mad Max: Fury Road. Black & Chrome' edition. It received a theatrical release in December 6th 2016 in some countries.
$5,079,641 (Russia) (17 May 2015)
