Gives us an answer only to raise more questions, which keeps us hooked and always on the edge of our seat. There's so much tension between the characters like zeke and Levi and eren and the SC's and the ildians and the volunteered Marley soldiers. it's hard to predict where things are going, This is classic attack on Titan. The episode was visually stunning I really enjoyed it and even though flashback episodes in general might not always be intresting but this is not the case for attack on titan

Great episode, really building up the tension for upcoming episodes. fans who are voting 10/10 before the episode even released are just being idiots. No difference between these blind fans and the haters giving 1 stars

Everything that we were ignorant of in past episodes is now clear. This episode reminds me of "That day" episode of season three. The hero of that episode was Grisha Yeager. This time, his son Zeke Yeager is to prove once again that the Yeager family is the best in the series to complete. Always the flashback in Attack on Titan comes at the right time, unlike some series who do not know how to deal with the flashback. As a summary, the episode is full of secrets that were essential to know. Finally, I would like to thank Isayama for this flashback who has come the right time. Of course, this is not the first time, there have been so many episodes with wonderful flashback. This is one of the features of Attack on Titan that is not present in all other series.

Why are the ratings even open? This episode hasn't been aired anywhere yet. Everyone please wait for the episode to drop, you're just giving leverage for haters to justify their actions.
  • The episode was great seeing the island of Paradis again and the scouts deal with the aftermath of a major death and their new current situation and I see a lot of smooth brain children in the reviews One piece is fine but it'll never compare so don't try to say it does and for people reviewing actually watch the episode first lol.
  • This is just ridiculous, why is there a rating if the episode hasn't aired yet...
  • To the AOT fans rating it early, come on, I've got like 8 more hours till I can watch, how can we be rating this rn. If this episode is gonna be great and rated well then let it be great without brigading and voting for episodes not released yet.

We'll see how good this episode is

Edit: Loved it. Lots of info and the damn feels man. The tone is only growing darker.
  • Great episode, can't wait for the next. As a manga reader, I know what's going to happen but even then I'm just loving the fact that I get to see the storyline animated. xD
  • Great backstory explaining the alliance between Paradis eldians and marley eldians. But I fear what's going on eren's mind. He has totally lost the Eren charm in his eyes. Anyway, we finally get to see him in bun! And Levi as badass as ever! My favourite!

  • Love Paradis reacting to tech and weapons they have never seen before. Especially Hange.

    Warning: Spoilers
No action at all but still interesting as hell! That's AoT Right there. They changed a little bit but this episode roughly adapted one chapter which is odd because we usually get two per episode. But MAPPA takes their time and it shows. We get some real nice flashback scenes and we saw pixis, historia and zackly for the first time in the season (also Nile in the background).

Just a wounderful episode that makes you wanting more
  • All you kids and 30+ year olds living in your parents basement that rated this 1 star without even watching it need to grow the hell up
  • This show has the best storyline and everything in this show is marvelous

Attack on Titan is one of the best animes of all time
  • Please don't rate it before it gets aired because it will attract haters

I am not here to talk about the episode this time , but to talk to those who think because they have seen many animes that they are better than everyone else and come here to prove a point and rate the episode 1 , if you rate the episode 1 at least give your reasons , AOT is one the greatest animes of all time either you like that or not that's your problem, the fact that you come here and maybe create many accounts to rate 1 means that the anime is amazing and he got your attention to even spend a lot of time and effort to do all this to to lower the rating , i pity you 😂 you really need help , grow up

What I love about this show goes beyond the intense battles that we get to see once in a while. This one shows the emotions of the survey corps after Sasha's death, it shows how someone's feelings change (Niccolo is now an actual ally rather than a captive. He actually loves Sasha and the rest of the group). It shows how Armin is contemplating their actions. It reflects the reality of life, no one is an angel and no one is a devil and this is especially true in wartime.

    This show is a masterpiece
  • If you truly think this episode is a ten please get help. Attack on titan is one of my favorite series but the fan base is starting to ruin it for me.

    9/10
    GOAT
Are one piece fans St/upid or something ?? do you really compare kids cartoon to AOT ???? are you dumb ?
  • I really like this episode. I really like the chapter 106 that was addapted here. It is an one chapter episode like the last one, and this is not bad, because it makes this one really solid and sincere. Hyped for the next ones

The way the episode went on without a fast pace yet still managing to make 23 minutes feel like 1 is insane. Even though almost the whole episode is a flashback they managed to make it wonderful.
  • This episode was well paced and surprising, it only adapted one chapter. This is the second episode to do this. But it was fine as it didn't feel rushed. I really enjoyed the ost and character animation. The lighting was really great. Mappa did a great job with their re-creation of what the characters looked like in the past. Although Hange, Levi and Pixis's designs were a little different, they were stll well drawn, animated and loved the lighting. Really loving the flow of Mappa's style and pacing. Looking forward to the future episodes.
  • All I can say is wow. Very great episode so excited for next week

One of my favourites so far. Here, AOT proves that it can be a quiet, psychological drama - without the aid of indulgent action sequences. Instead of the earlier, more linear episode arcs, this one darts around in time in very a compelling way to which it almost feels like it unfolds backwards. The Nichollo and Sasha scenes were excellent, Armin's remorseful speech + Eren's harrowing responses made for a poignant arc that, again, unfolds backwards.

On top of this I loved the boat scenes - great pacing, felt like a Coen brothers film. I know people obsess a little over the 1-10 rating, so I'm sorry if I've offended anyone by giving It a perfect ten - Its not perfect - but I really can't see anything wrong with it or a moment at which I wasn't compelled.
