Nagalit ang patay sa haba ng lamay

Caught this in Cinema One, a rip off of the title Nagalit ang Buwan sa Haba ng Gabi, which was a drama movie. This starred Chiquito and Panchito (who appeared in only a few scenes but funny) who are rivals of funeral parlor business. The movie took time to have some relevance by giving a side story of gambling during wake.

The movie stars an ensemble of comedians, perhaps their last time to be together in one movie. This has Panchito, Chiquito, Palito, Matimtiman Cruz, Balut, Don Pepot and a host of other comedians. There's even a cameo of Jun Aristorenas.

There are some funny moments but over all, your average run-of-the-mill comedy with jokes about dead people and eventually ending with a kidnapping scene, so typical of action and comedy movies. There are some action stints and also stars the usual goons like Larry Silva, while Paquito Diaz giving a cameo as well. Don't really recommend this.
