With two major NFL games airing throughout the day today, Sunday, Jan. 26, there is barely anything airing new tonight. However, broadcast TV isn’t a complete disappointment.
The football is certainly taking over, though. While Fox will air a game earlier in the day, CBS will have the evening game. It’s this game that means a lot of other networks are opting for movies and reruns. Of course, movies has been the standard for ABC and The CW on Sundays recently.
NFL AFC Championship Game, Watson, and more
It’s all about CBS. The night starts with the AFC Game. The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Buffalo Bills in the biggest game for the two teams of the season. This is a showdown that will see the Chiefs want to prove the Bills win earlier in the regular season was a one-off. After all, the Bills were the...

Finally, we know when Family Guy will be coming back with Season 23! Find out the premiere date!
It's been a longer wait than usual for fans of Family Guy. The wild Fox animated series wrapped up Season 22 in April 2024, but released a pair of specials in late 2024 on Hulu. The delay appeared to be due to creator Seth McFarlane's busy schedule and Fox wanting to save a big premiere for midseason.
But now we know when Season 23 is coming! As reported by TVLine, Family Guy will return to the Sunday "Animation Domination" lineup on Feb. 16 at 8/7c. This marks the first time in almost 30 years that The Simpsons will not be airing at that time slot on Sundays.
Instead, The Simpsons will take a few weeks off before returning with the rest of Season 36 on March 30. As for the rest of the new Sunday lineup, following Family Guy will be the season 2 premiere of Grimsburg,...

Seth MacFarlane and the Family Guy staff just struck a brutal blow to The Simpsons with a bit of scheduling “plagiarismo.”
This February will mark an historic moment for Fox and its Sunday night animation block when, for the first time in more than three decades, The Simpsons will not lead off the lineup of adult animated comedies that owe their very existence to Matt Groening and his team. The Simpsons has long been the cornerstone of Fox and its Animation Domination schedule where shows like American Dad! first found their footing, but The Simpsons now finds itself a step behind the competition as Family Guy slides into first place for the month of February while The Simpsons will have to wait until March to return to Season 36, at which time it will reclaim the first slot from Family Guy.

For the first time in more than 30 years — and only for six weeks — Fox will not lead off its Sunday animation block with The Simpsons.
The longest-running scripted primetime series in American TV history will take a break in February and March. In The Simpsons‘ place, Fox will air the second-longest-running animated series on the network, Family Guy. That show’s 23rd season will premiere at 8 p.m. Feb. 16, kicking off a somewhat revamped animation block.
Also debuting on Feb. 16 is the second season of Grimsburg; the Jon Hamm-led series will follow Family Guy at 8:30 p.m. The Great North begins its fifth season at 9 p.m. that night (though one episode aired the weekend before Christmas), and Krapopolis stays put at 9:30 p.m.
The last time The Simpsons didn’t lead off Fox’s Sunday night was in the 1993-94 season (the show’s fifth), when it aired at 8 p.

With Fox’s midseason line-up underway, it’s time to look at how its scripted series have performed this season.
The network controversially canceled 9-1-1: Lone Star last year despite no data suggesting that the long-delayed Season 5 would be a disaster in the ratings.
That decision could haunt Fox because the Rob Lowe-fronted drama remains a solid option.
(Steve Wilkie/Fox)
But Fox has shifted gears a lot in recent years in an attempt to have more cost-effective programming on its schedule.
It’s no surprise that some of its shows are not getting much recognition.
Let’s dive in.
9-1-1: Lone Star – Canceled (Kevin Estrada/Fox)
We knew the writing was on the wall when Fox kept the show off the air for over a year, but somehow, we never thought they’d pull the plug.

Exclusive: Fox has a new global TV distribution boss.
The company has hired Fifth Season’s Prentiss Fraser as President of Fox Entertainment Global. It comes two years after it launched the global sales arm and amidst a search for a statement hire to lead the team responsible for selling shows such as Joel McHale-led Animal Control and Dan Harmon’s animated series Krapopolis to international broadcasters and streamers.
Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade believes that investing in international distribution is key to grow its studio and will bolster its network content strategy, helping the company on the global stage.
“Prentiss’ world view, relationships and strategic mindset will be instrumental as we enter a new, prolific period of creativity, growth and expansion,” Wade said. “Distribution is central to our studio and network content strategy, and her appointment rounds out our senior leadership team, adding a respected, results-driven heavy-hitter to...

Hey, "Bob's Burgers" fans. Unfortunately, we're on here with some pretty bad news to report. It turns out that the most recent episode 10, which aired last Sunday night, December 29, 2024, was the last episode for a while. That means Fox is not airing the next, new episode 11 tonight, January 5, 2025 and for quite a few more Sunday nights to come. According to one of our sources, Fox doesn't plan to air the new episode 11 until Sunday night, February 16, 2025. During that time, it will air in its usual, 8 pm central standard time slot. So, certainly be sure to memorize that very important date and time if you can. We did take the liberty of tracking down what Fox is airing in Bob's Burgers empty time slot tonight and next Sunday night. According to the TV Guide listings, Fox is dishing up a repeat episode of Krapopolis tonight. This repeat episode will be episode 7 of its season 2 titled,...

It’s all about award shows and football on Sundays in January. Things kick off that way on TV tonight, Sunday, Jan. 5.
One of the reasons most networks don’t bother bringing their Sunday shows back in January is due to the award shows and football. Something big takes up Sunday night viewing, and Sunday, Jan. 5 kicks it all off with the Golden Globes. You will not want to miss them.
Golden Globes, Sunday Night Football, and more
Let’s start with the Golden Globes. The 82nd annual event will take place on CBS throughout the night. The award show needs little introduction, as you’ve seen it all before. This is a chance for top shows and movies to take away big awards, and we’ll be sure to keep an eye on the biggest wins and losses for you!

An animated Greek mythology sitcom from the creator of Rick and Morty is coming to Netflix next month. Rick and Morty season 8 is slated to debut in 2025, though co-creator Dan Harmon has also been busy with several other high-profile projects. The long-awaited Community movie is active, with series star Ken Jeong recently revealing his emotional reaction to the script.
Rick and Morty itself is continuing to go strong, as the animated sci-fi comedy has been renewed all the way through to season 12. This means that the two-time Emmy-winning hit will be on air through at least 2029. At the same time, another one of Harmon's shows, which only premiered last year, may soon get a boost as it's coming to Netflix.

It is time for the broadcast networks to air their holiday programming. Regular TV has taken a break for the rest of the year. Here’s a look at what you can watch on TV tonight, Sunday, Dec. 22.
This is the time of year when people spend time with families or they go out to Christmas parties. It means fewer people are watching TV live, and the networks don’t want to risk the linear ratings for their regular shows. CBS was the last of the networks to take a break last week, and now we’re into the full holiday programming.
There’s plenty to watch still. You don’t need to turn to streaming just yet.
The Santa Clause, The Kennedy Center Honors, and more
Let’s start with something that is for the whole family. ABC has opted for movie night each Sunday, and tonight is no different.

As we get closer to Christmas and the New Year, more and more networks opt for specials and reruns. There’s a fair few on TV tonight, Sunday, Dec. 15.
There are still episodes of top shows to air. There’s also the fun of Sunday Night Football on NBC. So, if you’re worried about finding something to watch, don’t be. We have everything that’s airing across the Big 5 broadcast networks tonight.
The Simpsons, The Sound of Music, and more
If you’re looking for a movie to watch with the whole family, The Sound of Music will air throughout the night on ABC. This is a long one, with the movie starting at the slightly earlier time than normal of 7 p.m. Et/Pt. It will continue throughout the night, which is something to keep in mind for those with smaller children.
How about the adult animation?...

The new year is fast approaching, and it's already time to start planning your 2025 binge-watches. Apart from all of the excellent new streaming shows set to premiere throughout the year, there are inevitably a whole crop of fan-favorite shows that find their way onto Netflix for an unexpected resurgence, just like Suits, Your Honor, and plenty of other recents hits.
In January 2025, Netflix welcomes a small handful of recent small screen favorites like TV Land's rom-com Younger and the newest spinoff from The Walking Dead universe coming to Netflix for the first time, and in another case, a time-tested hit procedural will see its earliest seasons returning after being removed months prior.
But of course, with the monthly additions on Netflix, there are the inevitable removals. While the bulk of the content leaving Netflix in January 2025 consists of movies, there are a trio of fan-favorite series that fans will...

More and more TV shows are heading into their winter breaks. That means looking at what’s on tonight, Sunday, Dec. 8, is more important than ever.
We need to find something to watch, right? We need to know if our favorite shows still have episodes, or if we’re heading into a bit of a drought. There is some good news for some fans, as there are still new episodes planned. However, there are a few changes to some schedules for the holiday season.
The Equalizer fall finale, new Animation Domination, and more

Hulu will continue to be the U.S. streaming home for Fox’s “The Simpsons,” “Family Guy,” “The Masked Singer” and other shows for at least the next four years.
Fox Corp.’s Fox Entertainment and Disney’s Hulu announced a multiyear renewal of their content partnership, encompassing in-season streaming rights for Fox’s programming slate. The agreement also includes the extension of the marketing alliance the two companies forged in January 2023, under which Fox and Hulu branding jointly share presence across all Fox-owned and external consumer touchpoints “to align with live and on-demand viewing messaging of Fox content.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal renewal runs for a four-year term, sources said.
Fox Corp. does not operate its own subscription streaming service and has leaned on its Hulu partnership to monetize content in the subscription VOD space. Separately, Fox operates Tubi, a free, ad-supported streamer.
