I need to correct the last poster's comment. Desi Arnaz was a Cuban immigrant not Puerto Rican as you claimed. Since he wasn't afforded the same privileges as her since he was a Cuban immigrant which come in all shades, I would say it was interracial.

I Love Lucy! I've done some Lucy, myself. Being a redhead and loving fun, Lucy is a great role model, and obviously more capable and intelligent in many ways than just shananagans. Having had an American / Puerto Rican partner who is a drummer sometimes elicited "Lucy snd Desi " comments. However please check your description of referring to them as a bi- racial couple. Latino or Hispanic is not a race. It's a culture.
