Billie Rhodes is about to make the leap from the chorus line to the legitimate stage. Her role is to be a rural one, so her producer tells her to spend a weekend on a farm to learn a rural accent. While there, she helps a young couple.
When most people think of silent comedy, they think of men kicking each other or taking elaborate pratfalls. There were a lot of situational comedies, like those of Mr. & Mrs. Sidney Drew and plenty of female comics, like Mabel Normand, Louise Fazenda and Gale Henry. Miss Rhodes' career as a comedy lead flourished for about a dozen years. In this one, she gets to show off her beauty and be charming and the comedy, while brief and no world beater, is entertaining for the single reel it occupies.
