Your intuition was correct. I don't want to be rude but it's really bad. Like, embarrassingly bad. The children in the movie do a fine job. But all the adults did not. From the actors, to the writers, and the entire amateurish production staff.
More believable would be that this was a high school drama club production with just one week to write/act in/produce a short film. Oh, how I wish it was short film. It's only 114 minutes...but believe me...it's a very long 114 minutes. Oh, and the Santa suit...Amazon $39...MAX!
Unfortunately, there were no reviews here when I checked prior to watching...so my 12 yr old son and I watched it blind. You're welcome, fine moms and dads. Find another for tonight's movie night. Merry Christmas!!

I don't know why I thought this would be a fun family Christmas movie. The whole premise is extremely poor and you're left wondering what the point of the film is and when something interesting is going to happen. The kids do fine in their roles but the adult characters are extremely false and exaggerated. I'm not even sure why the 'Good Witch' is in the film title when there are no witches in the film. I presume it's actually referring to the elf, who I guess is more witch-like than elf-like. The santa character is also very odd and not festive at all, moaning about how he can't rely on others. Don't waste your time with this one.

Awful movie! 3 minutes into the movie and I hated every character. I shut it off at 15 minutes. It's hard to describe the pain of making it 15 minutes into this movie. I hated the kids, I hated the parents, I hated the uncle and his "friend". I hated the witch, too! How did this awful story make it to film?
I am only grateful that this movie was offered on Hulu for free.
The characters were not likable and poorly cast. I guess no self-respecting actor would have signed up for this heaping pile of poo. Did these "actors" read the story before signing up?
If this was supposed to be a comedy then it falls flat.

The Good Witch of Christmas" is a charming holiday film that weaves together live-action and animation to create a heartwarming experience for viewers of all ages. Directors Francesco Cinquemani crafts a whimsical world where children become heroes and magic is just around the corner.
The story takes a delightful turn when the mysterious Christmas Witch arrives, amnesia-stricken, at the doorstep of Liam and Olivia (Mia and Lorenzo McGovern Zaini). Their resourceful babysitters, Frank (Tom Arnold) and Tony (William Baldwin), add a touch of comedic chaos to the mix, while the children take center stage as they decipher the secrets of the "Puffins" book to help the Witch regain her memory.
While the plot might be predictable for seasoned filmgoers, the film's true strength lies in its ability to capture the spirit of the holidays. Writers Mario Bellina, Andrea Fazzini, and Andrea Iervolino successfully create a world where even adults can rediscover the magic of Christmas. This heartwarming message, coupled with the charming performances of the young leads, makes "The Good Witch of Christmas" a perfect choice for a cozy family movie night.
