  • This is a black-and-white pencil-drawn-by-hand rendering by David Coquard-Dassault, of a big city in the midst of a rainstorm and how people and birds react to the pouring rain.

It's as simple as that, but it's surprising how mesmerizing it can be thanks to the different kind of artwork. You wouldn't think something this gray and detail-less would be so intriguing, but it is. Actually, at first I didn't think it was all that great so I played it a second time...and then really appreciated it. So, don't be afraid to give this one a second look. It's less than seven minutes so it won't take up a lot of your time.

This was part of the DVD titled "Animation Express" which is available in regular and Blu-Ray discs. It is a production from the National Film Board of Canada.
