Villain

The cast in this short film is impressive, featuring two young actors who have been rapidly gaining popularity in recent years. Although the film has no dialogue, their performances are strong, and the production looks professionally made-on par with a television movie. The special effects are especially high quality, which is rare for this kind of short film.

Villain is set in an unspecified time and place, evoking a medieval fairy-tale atmosphere through its costumes, weapons, and characters. My feelings are a bit mixed here: while the darkness adds an eerie tone that suits the story and highlights the fire as a key visual element, it sometimes makes it hard to see what's going on. I would've appreciated better visibility.

The storyline is simple-a girl seeking revenge on the monster that destroyed her home and killed her family-but there are some intriguing plot twists. That said, their meaning remains unclear. For example, I'm not sure what the ending is supposed to convey. I see what happens and how it ties to earlier events, but I'm left asking: so what? What comes next?

The first temptation is the cast - Isla Gie and Bella Ramsey. A girl front to her house burned by a dragon. She bury her late mother and decides the revenge against monster.

But, inside its cave, she has a surprise . The purpose remains, unfortunately, the same and , after victory , she honorates her mom.

Beautiful visually , touching for the inspired use of silence of Isla Gie , the only presumed problem can be the strong attachment of Bella Ramsay to Lyanna Mormont frame. Sure, she did a great job and, in essence, being honest, exactly for this you are tempted by film but all is reduced to brave, pittiless girl and to old eye for eye.

So, the photography - and the dragon, off course- , as main virtues.
