Tato is an orphan adrift, a young lover of rap, who must find his place outside the violence of his city. The presence of cleaning and social control groups spreads terror and uncertainty in his neighborhood. However, Tato along with his friends Pitu and La Crespa, seek to resist and find a different alternative to death and crime. Organized through the art of hip hop, participating in street jam battles. After clashing with gang members from his neighborhood, Tato has to run, leaving behind what defines him the most. Thus, his only option is to leave the city and live with Octavio, a grandfather, a flower grower, whom he does not know, and who wishes to inherit his countryside cultural tradition. Two generations, two ways of life, and a continuous feeling of loss, death, and loneliness rain over Tato's life in his struggle to survive and find his own identity as he transitions to the adult world.

Almost a movie, very far from being a good one

There are so many things wrong with this movie, where to start. Character development is almost zero, they tried but failed. The dialogs seem very forced and out of pace, quality of the recorded voices is awful, I couldn&#39;t understand some parts. The story line has no point, nor objective. If Fabian found a place to have work, get paid, have food, a roof, a lovely grandfather. Why did he leave after reading his father&#39;s letters? To do what in the city? He left the old man sick by himself. Why him and friends went to the place they were exposed knowing 2 of them were in risk of being killed? I doesn&#39;t make any sense at all. There were so many scenes that made no sense from the &#39;real life in a poor area of Medellin&#39; also from the perspective of a good script. The rap battle scenes made no contribution to the film, just pointing out something like Fabian couldn&#39;t keep up with the battles due to sad memories and trauma? So what happened with his father? A secret the director wouldn&#39;t want the public to know. I wasted my time, I rolled my eyes too many times. I do not recommend this movie to anyone.

The City of Wild Beasts

Sometimes movies like this can be hidden gems. Unfortunately, that is not the case here at all. The movie moves along at the pace of molasses flowing uphill, and is filmed mainly in darkness. The story and dialog appears improvised and is intensely boring. It&#39;s just a colossal waste of time to watch it. The writer was trying to create some kind of art house movie but ended up instead with a huge failure!
