  • I almost forgot that the arrowverse could make you feel like this. The stakes were high. I cant believe we had a character's backstory this late in the season and it looked so natural and effortless. This storyline could go wrong in so many ways so easily due to being saturaded, since it's the core of so many characters, but it's really well handled and made for some of the most emotional moments this season. The final three scenes are so intense! It looks like the screenwriters and the actors are making the best to make you cry but at the end you are left wondering about everything you just saw and how they are going to follow up on this. Great cliffhangers, great show.

Never thought I would be saying this, but Legends seems to be taking the Arrowverse's crown this season.
  • Taken down a point for the continuing strange Mick pregnancy storyline, and because half of the cast were sidelined and didn't get any big moments.

But otherwise, this episode was a fantastic addition to an otherwise mess of a season. Surprisingly emotional, super tight storytelling, timey-wimey twists, character depths.

There's a death and it's up to you to decide if it was well done and fitting for the character, but the scene and performances were stellar for it.

The effects were all looking really good in this. There was a fairy tale element to this episode that also happened to be around a giant, magic, alien mushroom. Surprisingly it fit really well here and didn't feel stupid like some Legends ideas can come across.

Really enjoyed this episode. It's right there with the premiere and mid-season finale for best episodes this season. And I've been harsh on a lot of episodes this season, so this is saying something. But I do really love Legends, so it's why I'm harsh.

Damn, it makes me cry at the end.

Look at Astra's face when John gone, it's brilliant.

    I hope mick won't die.

What an emotional ride this ep was. I sat there on the edge of my seat the whole episode. I actually teared up the last 5 minutes. One of the best episodes of the series imo. It made me loathe the villain so much.

    Warning: Spoilers
The Legends come in and ask Constantine about the whereabouts of Bishop. He's turning "his" back on the team. The Legends realize that it isn't Constantine after all. The Waverider takes off. Astra and Spooner have no communication with the team. Astra and Spooner are at Texas, 1925. Almost 100 years ago. A man displeases in pain as he's about to lose his leg, a woman comes up to assist him. Spooner eventually realizes that she is her mother. The three greets with this Gloria. She tells 'em to come with her.

Meanwhile, Constantine and Bishop are searching for the Fountain of Imperium. Bishop is acting his usual self about mushrooms are ancient alien beings and are connecting to the Fountain. Constantine meets a little girl in the forest collecting purple flowers. The little girl herself is Cruz, now that sounds familiar! Right, it's Spooner! And Constantine walks in, oh god. Meanwhile in the Constantine Mansion, the team plan on finding Constantine to get Kayla by using an intergalactic communication device. In 1925, the group have some dinner. Constantine casts a spell making the others fall asleep, and shows Spooner what happened during that night. Oil men killed her mother, kid Spooner ran away and tripped on some mushrooms, giving her powers to protect her by the Fountain of Imperium.

Kayla finally arrives realizing that if she wants her babies back, she will have to help the Legends. Bishop has been making some potions that will make the Fountain of Imperium into thinking that he is worthy. The men arrive for Gloria. Spooner tells the truth to Gloria that she is her daughter. Astra warns that the consequences will revert Spooner meeting up with the Legends. Constantine performs a spell on the Fountain, casting a giant fricking mushroom. Astra takes kid Spooner. Spooner goes with Gloria telling the men that it is not for sale. The men load their guns, and Spooner uses her powers against them.

The men run away. The Fountain gives kid Spooner special powers. Kayla's ship arrives in 1925. They finally found the Waverider. Constantine takes the serum, but the deadly poison was within the serum! Sara, Ava, Gary, Kayla, and Rory pick up as many eggs as they can. Rory is eventually caught by the explosion. The Fountain withers away. Spooner seemingly passes out. Astra comes to Constantine as the Fountain slowly consumes him. What. A. God. Damn. Shocker. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

    Thoughts?

Man, it's so fun with Spooner and Astra together. God damn, this was intense and surprisingly emotional exploring more of Spooner's backstory. The female guest cast here is well-done at performing, and the best performance for Chavesh. I am keeping my expectations low if Constantine really died or not as the CW loves to play tricks on us and resurrect dead characters.

    10/10.
