Following clues to the origin of mankind, a team finds a structure on a distant moon, but they soon realize they are not alone.
There are actually two actors from Game of Thrones in the production. Besides Kate Dickie's character, Ford, one of the private security men working for Weyland is Vladimir 'Furdo' Furdik, who in later seasons of the HBO fantasy epic plays the supernatural villain known as the Night's King.
Elizabeth Shaw:
Get Charlie.
Near the start when Charlie is summoned to see Dr Shaw's cave writing discovery, he has a bright orange coat on. When he enters the cave he has a dark gray/green coat on. However, before Charlie runs towards the cave we can see he is wearing two coats, the bright orange one on top and the darker coat underneath it (along with a zipped up bodywarmer underneath that). Presumably it was cold outside, but he took the orange coat off by the time he reached the cave.
The opening credits take place throughout the Engineers' scene on Earth.
The film's 70mm and Digital IMAX 3D release was presented open-matte, at an aspect ratio of 1.90:1, meaning more information was in the frame for the entire film.
