Darn good version of Batman
As a HUGE fan of the original animated series, I was excited for this to come out. I watched all 10 episodes in one sitting, and I wasn't disappointed.
Firstly, I really liked the art and animation style. It's similar to the original series, but maybe a little more detailed and polished. The music is ok, but not nearly as good as the original series.
Secondly, the action scenes are really good, and definitely highlight Batman's abilities and stealth.
The only complaint I had is they did some PC stuff that rubbed me the wrong way. For example the Commissioner and Barbara Gordon are now black and Harley Quinn appears to be Asian. Those are forgivable, but the one change that really pissed me off is they made Penguin a freakin' woman! So I knocked off a couple points for that. Hopefully that trend does not continue. We don't need even more PC pandering shoved down our throats.
Overall I'd say if you liked the original animated series you'll really like this. Oh, one more slightly negative thing: Linklater's voice and acting as Bruce is good, but when he's Batman his voice is just monotone and almost robotic. I think he needs to change things up a little.
