I liked this short but wished that it was a bit less vague. I first caught a part of this short already in progress on cable late at night and set my DVR to catch it again next time it aired.
The line that caught my attention initially was midway through. "No Son of Mine..." I was curious if this was a short about a young man coming to terms with being gay or just about a young man who couldn't live up to his father's expectations.
After watching the entire short, I was still uncertain. That's not entirely a bad thing for an 11 minute short but it did leave me wanting to know more.
Checking the IMDb website for the director's other work leads me to believe that my initial impression was well-founded.
I'll be curious to see what else this filmmaker does.
