- A professional killing machine is paid to kill a family one by one. Yet, for the first time in his life, he feels conflicted about killing a young boy.
The Assassin (Ruben Avitia) is just that. A hired gun, that shows no mercy and methodically does his job with no emotion. When he is contracted to kill a family that includes a child (Felix Avitia), he seems to not be concerned, until faced with the little boy trembling in the closet.
Emotion creeps in... is it enough to stop him from pulling the trigger? Can he see what any real human being would know is wrong? Yet, though never concerned for life before, he pauses to reflect. Will he convince himself it's for the best interest of his employer, the Boss (Bruce French)? Believe what he has been told... that there is a higher purpose and this act does 'Justify the Means' to an end?
This beautifully shot and originally scored SAG short film with a diverse and talented cast takes us inside the mind of a professional hitman. We go on the same quick journey from past conversations to present situations and see if even the coldest hearts can be melted by an innocent child.
Is it too late or possible for a man without regard for human life to seek redemption... salvation... to do what is morally right?
In life, there are no rules... just choices.
'Justify the Means'... written and directed by Ruben Garcia.
Shot entirely in the Los Angeles Area on a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Short Film Contract Agreement.
