The filmmakers tried out various concepts for the closing credits: shapes formed from water (Mera's power), or from sealife bioluminescence, and an ancient nautical map. They eventually settled for a sequence set underwater, which drew from all of the concepts.

The tsunami scene happens at night when Tom should be manning the lighthouse, not out and about with Arthur.
The Warner Brothers logo is sunk and half-buried at the bottom of the ocean, reflecting Atlantis's history.
The film's airline presentation is open-matte throughout, meaning there was more picture information visible in the top and bottom of the frame in the non-IMAX-formatted sequences as well, than in IMAX theaters and on home video.
