Arthur Curry, the human-born heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, goes on a quest to prevent a war between the worlds of ocean and land.
Principal photography began in Australia on May 2, 2017. Most of the film was shot at Village Roadshow Studios in Gold Coast, Queensland, with production also held in Canada, Italy and Morocco, and wrapped on October 21, 2017.

Near the end, when Arthur fights Orm for throne and pushes him against the propeller, Orm's cape gets ripped off you can also hear the sound effect, but when Arthur throws him it's back on again, and finally the cape is gone when Orm gets up.
The Warner Brothers logo is sunk and half-buried at the bottom of the ocean, reflecting Atlantis's history.
The UK theatrical version was cut to remove bloody detail to secure a 12A rating. That version was also used for the home media release.
