John Marston, former outlaw, is forced by the federal government to hunt down the members of his old gang.
Anson Mount, who plays Cullen Bohannon in AMC's western Hell on Wheels, played Red Dead Redemption in the weeks before filming began to get a feel for America during the settling of the west. His character strikes a strong resemblance to John Martson. (Cowboys & Indians Magazine, Aug 2014)
Marshal Leigh Johnson:
It's gonna be a bloody job.
John Marston: I don't know any other kind
When a person in the game is blasted by a shotgun during game play, the wound on that person is that of a bullet wound, and not a buckshot wound. A bullet wound (what is seen) is one small hole with a little blood around it, and a buckshot wound should be seen as a large splatter of blood on the person's body.
The Game of the Year Edition censors the intro cutscene to "The Gates of El Presidio", fixes some subtitle errors and adds an additional writing credit for Rupert Humphries, a Hardcore Mode and the previously PS3 exclusive Solomon's Folly gang hideout and Walton's Gang Outfit to the Xbox 360.
