Field of Schemes 5

Episode 18 of the Thornhill Diaries portmanteau series finds the women at the "Cathouse" (where the U. of Thornhill softball team ladies reside) up to their old tricks. It's a clumsy effort from uncredited director Dan O'Connell, paying little attention to dialog, acting or motivation, apart from the overwhelming need for these actresses to have sex with each on-camera.

Opening is particularly lame, as Tori Black shows little Lexi Belle around the premises, LB's stepmother Kelly in tow. Mom looks a lot like Maya Divine, but turns out to be Kelly Leigh, who has appeared in other Girlfriends. Kelly pimps out her daughter without a moment's hesitation, and after a while the shy Lexi drops her character to participate wholeheartedly in lesbian sex antics with Tori.

Coach Darryl Hanah gives prospective pledge Prinzzess a hard time in showing her how to fold laundry, a filler scene probably meant to be funny (it's not). Busty stripper-build Julianna Jolene shows up with rival team (the Bulldogs) member India Summer, India sporting a snazzy softball uniform. Hanah treats the considerably overage (she was 33 when this was shot) potential transfer student India to some lesbian loving, the two superstar pros cavorting convincingly in the sack.

Not to be outdone, Jolene checks out Prinzzess's body in a strong sex scene, benefitting from P's initial shyness (even though fans have seen her in action hundreds of times). Julianna continues in future episodes of this series, all to the good.

Finale follows a specialty scene pattern recurring in the Girlfriends catalog, and not often attempted by rival lesbian labels (e.g., Sweetheart, Filly and Gamma). A butch lady named Candy grills teammates Elexis Monroe and Piper Austin in their motel room about their recruiting practices and confirms that they've been violating the league rules with presents and the like, putting the school and coach Hanah in jeopardy.

Candy has to file a report and will get the two gals in trouble, unless they accede to her wishes. She just wants to watch, ordering them to make love to each other while she not only looks on but barks orders on exactly what she wants them to do. The effect is like vintage porn films where the director of the movie shouting directions was often left on the final soundtrack.
