  • This introductory feature about the Univeristy of Thornhill's Girls Softball team also serves double duty as Episode 14 of the ongoing "Thornhill Diaries" saga. In recent years that portmanteau Diaries series uses Girlfriends Films' "Twisted Passions" videos set at the notorious Lamoyne Hotel for its content instead.

Unfolding in soap opera format, the seductions and romantic dramas of both players and coaches constitute the starting point for this narrative. We have buxom Victoria Valentine coercing young Leah Livingston into having sex for her, the price to pay for admission to U.T., and also to get chosen for the softball squad. Watching this decade-old DVD I was intrigued by the parallel, porn-style, to the present-day spectacle of what folks thought they had to get into elite universities, including the corruption of sports faculty.

Dana DeArmond is similarly manipulative as a senior to get her claws on petite high schooler MIa Leigh, and the pattern is set for future installments.

Lovely Sam Ryan, one of the best actresses in the Girlfriends universe, gets to chow down with the very sexy Jolean in a vignette that cries out for pirating some Dolly Parton music on the soundtrack. Finale has team coach Darryl Hanah hooking up with the divine Magdalene St. Michaels, a welcome relief from the jail-bait action that will take up much of the duration of this series of "Schemes".
