Near the beginning of the film, young P.T. Barnum is caught stealing a loaf of bread. Hugh Jackman had previously played Jean Valjean in Les Miserables where he has been sent to prison for stealing a loaf of bread.

When Barnum apparently opens his museum to the public, patrons purchasing tickets using Indian Head (nic) cents and nickel three cent coins; both were released 1859,1866 respectively. The scene in the movie is before the Jenny Lind scene (1850) Therefore the coins should be large cents and silver half-dime coins.
The modern 20th Century Fox logo along with the logos for TSG Entertainment and Chernin Entertainment are shown in sepia tone.
