Zoë Kravitz is undoubtedly one of the most prolific actors of this generation. From starring in one huge film franchise to another, she recently proved that her talent can extend beyond acting with the release of her acclaimed directorial debut, Blink Twice, just last year. Now, Kravitz may be stepping behind the camera once again after the successful theatrical debut of the psychological thriller. According to Deadline, the actress-turned-filmmaker is in talks to direct Sony Pictures' How To Save a Marriage. It is reportedly still in early stages of development.
While plot details about How To Save a Marriage remain under wraps, sources close to Deadline say that the film exudes "edgy undertones" akin to Blink Twice. The film's dark nature reportedly pushed the executives behind the project to choose Kravitz as its director. Kravitz's critically acclaimed directorial debut follows cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie), who must discover the truth...

The cat’s out of the bag! Zoë Kravitz could get back behind the camera for his first directorial project since last year’s Blink Twice with a new film titled How to Save a Marriage. The mysterious project is setting up at Sony Pictures, with Ross Evans penning the screenplay and Kravitz’s The Batman co-star, Robert Pattinson, producing alongside Brighton McCloskey through their Icki Eneo Arlo studio. Geoff Shaevitz and Evan Silverberg will produce through Entertainment 360.
The plot remains a mystery, but Deadline says Sony jumped at the chance to snatch up Kravitz’s next film. While we don’t know much about the project, sources say it has Blink Twice vibes, making Kravitz the perfect choice to direct. I highly recommend seeing Blink Twice if you’ve not seen it. It’s a twisted tale about a mysterious island getaway where guests experience more than they signed on for.

As we previously reported, Haley Joel Osment was recently arrested for public intoxication at a California ski resort.
The incident occurred on April 8, but news of the arrest was just made public on Thursday.

Ski resorts are like country club golf courses and exclusive airport lounges, in that it’s generally pretty safe for well-heeled folks to get completely hammered there at any hour of the day.
So when Haley Joel Osment got arrested at the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area in eastern California earlier this month, it’s safe to assume that there had been quite a spectacle.
Now, Haley — who was reportedly cuffed and taken into custody on April 8 — has not been convicted of anything, and details of his arrest are scarce at the moment.

In 2022, Danish filmmaker Christian Tafdrup delivered one of the most disturbing horror films of modern times with "Speak No Evil." Tafdrup, who co-wrote the movie with his brother, Mads, didn't want to rely on gore to upset audiences. In fact, he didn't want to rely on any established tropes of the horror genre in order to achieve his desired effect, instead constructing a truly unique and deeply troubling film that haunted viewers not only for the bleak events contained therein, but for its social commentary. Specifically, Tafdrup wanted to interrogate humanity's widespread aversion to interpersonal conflict and show how a dogged commitment to maintaining a polite social manner can have disastrous consequences.
Of course, the consequences depicted in "Speak No Evil" were a tad more disastrous than any of us will ever experience. One notorious scene actually managed to speak so much evil that it immediately became an unpleasant core...

From the visionary mind behind Parasite, Bong Joon Ho’s mind-bending sci-fi epic Mickey 17 is getting ready to warp into your living room. Warner Bros. has announced that the film will be available for early Premium Digital Ownership and rental beginning April 8, followed by a physical release on 4K Uhd, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 13. The film stars Robert Pattinson as the titular character — all 17 of him in fact — who takes on the job of being an expendable employee on a distant ice planet.
Sounds fun right? Well, his job requires dying on behalf of humanity — repeatedly. Ahead of the film's release, Collider is thrilled to reveal an exclusive sneak peek at the film which, funnily enough, involves Pattinson about to die, but this time it's via the means of a giant space creature who wants to feed him to their kids. Sounds like a great way to go.

This week’s picks include a new thriller, a classic rom-com, and a whole lot of mayhem.
Prime Video’s movie lineup is starting to look seriously stacked — and it’s only going to get better. Amazon’s been quietly leveling up its film game, and now with the “James Bond” franchise finally back on track, with Amazon buying full creative control from long-time producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, things are only going to get bigger and better (no pressure Amy Pascal and David Heyman…!). Whether you’re into recent hits, big-screen throwbacks, or something totally unhinged, there’s a lot worth watching right now. So, here are my top 7 movies streaming on Prime Video right now.

Actress Zoe Kravitz is best known for playing the role of Selina Kyle / Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. The film emerged as a critical and commercial success, giving Kravitz a boost in popularity.
Yet three years later, Kravitz has only made sporadic film appearances and her directorial debut also flew pretty much under the radar. One of the key reasons behind the actress’ seemingly sudden downfall is linked to her controversial comments.

In the past, Kravitz made some comments about Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith, after the two worked together on a movie. However, given the stark age difference between them and the latter being only fourteen at the time, these comments proved controversial and came back to haunt Kravitz.

Like Zoe Kravitz’s Blink Twice, Jaume Collet-Serra’s The Woman in the Yard offers what might be considered a paradox for our current moment. In trying to discuss everything deep, dark, and harrowing that the film manages to touch on, there’s the very real chance of spoiling the thing, and yet, it feels like mild neglect that the trigger warning that the film really deserves at the outset doesn’t show up until the moment the credits roll.
The Woman in the Yard isn’t the spooky and gimmicky jump-scare-a-thon suggested by its trailer. Written by Sam Stefanak, the film promises an oddball supernatural thriller about a Black woman, Ramona (Danielle Deadwyler), and her two children, Taylor (Peyton Jackson) and Annie (Estella Kahiha), living on a Georgia farm, where they’re visited by a nameless woman in black who patiently sits in a chair on their front lawn.

"Blink Twice," the directorial debut of Zoë Kravitz, is a 2024' psychological thriller involving a group of people invited to a remote island as the unwitting participants of something sinister. The movie plays on class division, notably with the rich and powerful preying on the less financially privileged for their own twisted amusement. "Blink Twice" also features commentary on racial and sexual power dynamics, as sharply written as it is brutally suspenseful. This movie comes from a longer tradition of intrigue and deceit, often revolving around enigmatic male figures keeping dark secrets from their romantic partners.
Whether it's the French fairy tale Bluebeard or contemporary thrillers, "Blink Twice" follows an enduring narrative archetype while making it its own. With that in mind, there are countless movies to check out if you're looking for more thrillers after "Blink Twice" kept you at the edge of your seat.

Well, well, well, what do we have here? Channing Tatum, Hollywood’s favorite dance-floor heartthrob turned moody mystery man, is back in the headlines, and no, it’s not because of another Magic Mike sequel (though we’d never say no to that). This time, it’s his love life that’s doing the cha-cha. After his quiet split from Zoë Kravitz in October 2024, the actor is once again sparking curiosity.
No dramatic fallout, no tabloid chaos, just two people who went their separate ways. But now, something (or someone) new has caught everyone’s attention, and the internet has entered full detective mode.

It’s not unusual for celebrities to move on, but when Tatum is involved, even the smallest outing becomes headline fuel. The guy could be grabbing a coffee and people would wonder if it’s a date.

Trap was one of my favorite movies of last year. Every moment of the film was riveting, watching as a serial killer and his daughter tried to escape a sting operation. Unfortunately, not everyone agreed, with some people finding it too off-putting and the Academy members not having any room in their hearts to nominate it for their precious Oscars.
M. Night Shyamalan, director of Trap, was shut out of Hollywood for a while. He had to fund Split himself after backlash from an admittedly disappointing streak of films, which included The Last Airbender. However, Trap is one of his best, and I think it's time to admit that.

Mark Anthony Green's and A24's Opus, starring Ayo Edebiri and John Malkovich, was released in theaters this past weekend. The psychological thriller follows a journalist who travels to the home of an elusive pop icon years after his disappearance, and things soon take a dark turn.
Following a similar structure to recent popular horror films like Get Out, Blink Twice, and Midsommar, Opus allows us to discover an unseemly set of circumstances through the eyes of an unsuspecting protagonist, and there is a lot of information sprinkled throughout that hints atthe film's ultimate themes critiquing celebrity and ego. What happens in Opus, and how does it all contribute to the end?

Mickey 17might be struggling at the box office, but one of its stars, Naomi Ackie, is thriving. After shrugging off being wasted in the worst Star Wars movie, she's ascended in her career by taking on diverse film genres, like the secretive thrills of Blink Twice or the biopic bombast of I Wanna Dance With Somebody. She continuously fills her roles with verve and intrigue, somebody who draws inherent interest in her movement without the need to speak. It's something she's done since her debut film, where she held her own against Florence Pugh inLady Macbeth, a cold-blooded thriller masquerading as a prestigious chamber drama.

“Your problem,” one character says to Ayo Edebiri’s Ariel Ecton in an early scene of Opus, “is that you’re middle.” Alas, in a cruel irony, while Opus has some strong stuff to recommend it, it never quite rises above middle-of-the-pack. Perhaps if it had been released ten years earlier, it might have at least felt a little bit fresher, having the misfortune of following eerily similar ‘social thrillers’ like Get Out, Midsommar, The Menu, Blink Twice, Don’t Worry Darling et al. There’s some fun to be had, but the plot — an unwitting protagonist visits a cult-like retreat, only to discover satirically sinister intentions — feels a little too well-trodden.

Plot: In the future, Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson), who’s in debt to loan sharks, takes the one job no one could ever possibly want. He signs up to be an “expendable” on an off-world colony where he’s given hazardous tasks to perform that no one is expected to survive. Every time he dies, they “print” another copy of him. However, when his seventeenth iteration, Mickey 17, unexpectedly survives a mission, he discovers another version, Mickey 18, has already been printed, and in this society, multiples are expressly outlawed.

Natasha Lyonne and Rian Johnson's hit streaming series, Poker Face, is set to return this year. And, well? The list of people they've finagled to guest star in Season 2 is actually unhinged. Like, the list of people who are going to be on this show is truly outrageous and unfathomable to someone like me, a person who does not cast television shows. But if I did? And I managed to pull this off? I'd be screaming it from the rooftop, folks. Because this cast list? It's truly the best of the best of the funniest, most talented people currently working in Hollywood.
And it seems that Lyonne and Johnson recognize that, sending along a note with the press release teasing the series' forthcoming slate of episodes. And though we don't know the exact premiere date yet — all it says is "Spring 2025" — we do know the 12, 60-minute-long episodes will feature Many very,...

Jason Statham’s upcoming film Mutiny has now been given a release date, according to Deadline. Lionsgate has given the new action thriller an opening on January 9, 2026. That weekend is currently not sporting competition from any other films, but it will be following up the opening week of Universal’s M3GAN spin-off Soulm8te, which could be its only formidable challenge at the box office after the popularity of the original M3GAN.
Lionsgate, MadRiver, and Punch Palace are teaming up to release the film in theaters. Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis wrote the screenplay for Mutiny, with principal photography beginning last September in the UK. Statham produces through his newly-founded Punch Palace Productions, with Marc Butan via his MadRiver Pictures studio.
