First, I want to say I was so Happy when I heard of Mo'Nique getting a talk-show! I didn't know what to expect, I was kind of nervous, excited, and anxious for her at the same time. Nervous because this is a different platform for her, Excited because I'm a BIG fan, and anxious because I could NOT WAIT!!!!!, Mo'Nique Show has Good/Bad aspects to it, as with anything! I will give examples of each below as it pertains to her show.
*GOOD- Her set is Beautiful! Her band is HOT! And I love the overall spirited feeling of Love and that feel good vibe of her show. Mo'Nique is very inviting as a host; she's compassionate and seems to really have a Heart of gold! I love the way she makes her celebrity guests feel Comfortable and eases any tension or nervousness they may have with her Natural Sense Of Humor. She respects and always makes an effort to highlight and expose the Positive of her guests, Her acceptance and non-judgment of people is what I admire most about her! And to top it all off she is FUNNY, FUNNY,FUNNY! *BAD- There won't be much in this section, but I have noted a few areas that could use improvement, or that are flawed! Sometimes Mo'Nique can be a bit annoying-Yelling and Screaming at the top of her lungs. That is something that is often memorable about this show. Sometimes in her sincere effort to uplift people, she can Overpraise them to the point where it's kind of awkward and a bit irritating. Also, She could stand to sharpen her interviewing skills, I feel like her questions are redundant, and irrelevant at times.
*Overall- If you like good entertainment, and wanna feel good! Mo'Nique will deliver that to you! And if you are a fan of hers, you will probably really enjoy it! With a few improvements that I've noted, Her show can really become a really enjoyable program!
