Rickdependence Spray

I always find some part entertaining about each episode, but this one didn't have any!

The Smith family has no purpose and no direction this season. Clearly, Dan doesn't either. Why not pick up on some of those abandoned plot threads from previous seasons?

Anyway, Episode 3. Morty is officially Flanderized. RIck, who should be the most interesting man in existence has become one-dimensional. The Smith family in general has become immune to real-world concerns.

There was a time when this family felt real - they had awkward dynamics with one another, they struggled, they felt emotional pain and they grew. Now they all feel like Rick's sidekicks. Beth and Jerry, once normal, caring parents, have resigned themselves to constantly putting themselves and their children in harm's way.

This season is a trainwreck so far, and this episode drags it down even further.

Great start, the first 5 min or so were funny but it went downhill really fast, like free falling down. Wtf happened? By far the worst episode of Rick and Morty.

Hope it's just a bump on what was a great season in the first 3 episodes and get back on track the following weeks.

Edit: Of course that just because the episode overall was bad doesn't mean some jokes didn't land. The Iron man joke was hilarious and the samurai mortal kombat guy death was too... it's not as bad as i thought at first but still pretty bad.

How about you have some fun for once? I think people are too hung up on the concept of Rick and Morty being a show for "intellectuals" when it's really not. Jesus, you people sound like that meme. Rick and Morty is a comedy show and it's supposed to he hilarious, weird, creative and satirical. Not every episode has to be a groundbreaking masterpiece. In this case "Rickdependence Day" does a great job at making you laugh and in some way even develops Mortys inner child to a more shameful degree. I had fun with this episode and people rating this 1/10 are just the most annoying and immature people on this god forsaken planet, chill out.

The reason why it was so bad for me is because it seems like something a couple of 13 year old R&M fans would write. Horse sex and monster sperm and incest and what not. It's not particularly creative, it's just trying hard to be obscene. It's like the writers forgot we watch R&M because it's clever, not just because it's gross.

Oh well, I suppose it's a feat to go over four seasons before making a bad episodes.
