I had heard about both "Morden" and "Graven", but somehow I picked the one in question for my 1st watch... Luckily, they were not too subsequent and intertwined, so I could really follow this as a separate story.
Something gloomy happening in a distant place with limited number of people and within a longer period of time is already a meaty benchmark for intriguing versatility. Luckily, the Swedes are able to create a realistic story from this, without unnecessary glamour and without using "cute faces" for attracting wider audience; police investigation is intense and people dedicated to it tend to have "impossible" character rather than model-type looks. Regarding the team, all members had their role and place there, but also had their vices and virtues. On the other hand, as it was my first familiarisation with team members as well (this series appeared more versatile to me as "Graven" later), then I was as eager to follow their deeds and thoughts as much I focused on the plot and its twists. Well, I liked the course of events and the fore-ending, i.e. the outcome of the case, but the very final ending involving team members was too predictable.
All in all, an intense creation, above average, but not equal to e.g. Bron/Broen or Millennium. And better watch it after "Graven".
