  • I don't think I really got to see his acting abilities in 'The Walking Dead', but actually Callan McAuliffe is superb in this short film. I'm not sure he was playing a gay role so much as just being a joker, I'm not even sure you could say it was trans related, but it was a good little film about a funny little character. Performed well by all involved and with good production values.
  • one of many short films with teenagers seductive for reflection of a state. holiday, a competition, a boy looking the attention of his father. and a nice choice in the lead role. and it is enough for a film who has as the axis the atmosphere. because nothing surprising defining "Franswa Sharl". except smiles, laughs, memories, and a prank of a boy. all like a fresh drink in the middle of summer day.

"Franswa Sharl" is an Australian 14-minute live action short film by writer and director Hannah Hilliard. It is difficult to take this film seriously. Some people will say it is about showing us the boy's true identity, but I disagree with that. It was just a (not so) funny prank in my opinion. Also the parts about the son longing for the father's attention were fairly forgettable. Overall, this film is a disappointment. It is fairly atmospheric and the vibe is pretty fine, but that is not enough to make up for the lack of convincing storytelling. This does not make me curious about other works by the director and I do not recommend checking it out. Thumbs down. The acting isn't too good either.
