  • They introduce new characters (the VIPs) that are SO bad at acting that kind of distract you from the game of this episode. Worst thing is, they don't even show their faces, they just talk.
  • Warning: Spoilers
How do you even find actors that bad? They dont even have to show their faces. Any figurant would be better tbh. I get the concept of rich foreigners betting money but they couldve changed it so they spoke korean. Their are plenty of white foreigners in south korea that speak it as their first language.

They keep yelling random pop references and its super cringy.

The game was really good and exiting but the VIPS were really bad.
  • To follow previous episode was always going to be a tough act to follow, but I have to admit this one does extremely good. The Game is top notch (the resolution of two characters is downright chilling) and what has to say about survival is bloodcurdling. The only thing that tears all apart just a bit: the clunky, cliched VIPS.
  • Thankfully, I was watching with subtitles so I just muted their scenes to not have to listen to their terrible acting. Even with short lines, they still managed to be intolerable.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Yes, as others have mentioned the guest-star VIP characters are a real annoyance here and make the show cheesy for the first time since it began, but I can forgive a few flaws here and there when a show is so consistently good (heck, I even like the final season of GAME OF THRONES). Where this episode excels is in the game itself, one of the most vivid and horrifying yet...
  • When I first heard of VIP it was a super intriguing twist. Maybe i'd get to see Korean elite or some rich foreigners. I was right about the foreigners but holy hell,.. WHO CAST THEM.

The script and their delivery of it was worse than the script for Revenge of the Sith. Some of them tried putting on accents as well but I still can't decide if the stag is supposed to be Russian or French, he seems to blur the accents.

And that gay naked rich guy requesting a blow-job was so weird. It did not fit into the series, at all. I know that the film most likely has a casting staff that is mainly Korean but if they see us in that way I am concerned.

The rest of this episode was absolutely great as always!

It's fine to criticize the acting of the VIPS (sounded more like dubbed actors than real Americans behind those masks) but to criticize their presence is missing the point. There are always rich people spending money on sick pervertion. Watch Eyes Wide Shut.

Another great episode! Liked the sudden death of some familiar character. Yes, I wanted it. Previously, I had already guessed what was going to happen and who would die. And my prediction came true. But here, some unexpected things with some satisfaction.

But why those VIPs? I mean, the show is going well with the gameplay flow. What is the reason for keeping them here? Just for the police officer, they put VIPs on the show. It was not needed.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Many people here are saying that they should have just run across the beams, they need to understand that the whole point of the game was to select 1 glass, and maybe for the apparatus, the team could've not thought anything better but don't focus on the apparatus rather the point.
  • Warning: Spoilers
The whole premise is that the contest is equal for all contestants. The boss fella said exactly that about the dentist getting help. So then why did he turn the lights off just because one fella could see the glass refracting. Some right bollocks that.
  • Warning: Spoilers
So far the acting on this show has been very good. As a matter of fact all of the regulars are talented actors/actresses. But the VIPS are so cringy they ruined everything.

    Warning: Spoilers
The game is excellent. People saying try to cheat using beams.... Cheating is not allowed and guys with guns are watching the rules.

My main problems with this episode are not the VIPS. Yes they are irritating, but the rest of the set is a bigger problem. The people lying there are more of a problem. It ruins the clean and strict seperation of types. Why are their people lying on couches doing nothing as a sort of prop.

Still an eight score... The game is great, somewhat slow but intense.

I can't be the one who thinks that VIPS were portraited in a such clique way that it doesn't go well with this TV Series unique.

    Warning: Spoilers
They should've stick with the Koreans. These Americans/English VIPs are so cringe and ruined the whole show.
  • Still have some tense moments and the investigation of the guy who searching his missing brother is compromise by the VIPS who come to witness the next game. We will see death again in this episode. And some characters will die: its not a surprise. Still some mysteries and we wondering what s the next game and who will win. Pretty nice episode with some dramatic moments.

Don't remember hearing anything in the rules about NOT stepping on the supporting railings. I kept waiting that being a game twist not just a sloppy prop oversight.

I know that everyone dislike the vips but to me it didn't bother me. Tis episode made me seat on my seat about what will happen with the character. Very suspenseful and brilliant with it.
  • Americans cry so much about the VIPs just because they are stereotyped and generic, and yes, they are, but cmon.

I found the VIP thing a very interesting concept, and people are overeacting.

Americans always sterotype mexicans or russians but when they are the ones stereotyped like here, they cry. Now they know how the rest feels when a latino appears in a movie and is very generic and lame, with bland dialogues, but they don't care about that because they just don't understand the other language. In this case where they can understand and relate to a sterotype, they cry so bad And yes, again, The VIP members sounded like a bad dub, the acting is kinda bad, but that doesnt ruin the episode or the show like a lot of people are saying.
  • Did nobody think that the acting is this way on purpose? Over the top a-hole Americans and they play it spot on.

    Warning: Spoilers
A plot twist there is a violent version of American Ninja vs hopscotch! There is much to do when the V I P arrive and there is a gladiator fixation. There is 16 left and choices who goes first. Time limits first time mistakes etc hit the players minds. A glass version of hopscotch with a fall to death! The viewer experience what each character is like. Well directed and acted, with the question of brutality vs humanity for money. The side story of finding the cops brother has a predictable twist. A stronger episode then most.

The episode was really good. It even leaves you blown by an unexpected event.
  • Premise of the game was good. Just some plotholes like why they didnt try to stand on the glass with one foot to see if it would break or not or why they didnt cheat and balance on the beams.

The VIPS are god awful. Their acting is bad and they're there to be satire for the American elite or something? Why didnt they make the VIPS more mysterious or introduce them as psycho's who love seeing people get killed instead of these "humerous" obnoxious characters that ruin the vibe of the entire show.

I dont understand the emphasis on the VIPS either. It wouldve been cool if the players could see them watching them behind glass or something and then have no mention of the VIPS again. The game was engaging enough, the VIPS storyline had no purpose but to annoy the viewer.
  • Those vips were all American English speakers but one: This was a well deserved critique of America and our arrogance.

    Not bad writing, brilliant writing.

What an amazing show ........ until the VIP's appeared.

Id love to know the casting process to bring them into the fold. Its woeful. Every line (and theres a lot of them) was poorly delivered and cringworthy.

I was sitting in awe at the series and keenly looking forward to a 10/10 rating but its just impossible now. Hopefully they arent as prominent in the remaining 2 eps .... Which i suspect they will be.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Annoyed me as hell that they didn't even try to cheat or at least sit down on the edge then use your leg to try to break the glass in front of you.
