  • Film critic Lalit Rao saw this film at 14th International Film Festival of Kerala 2009.This short review is based on his general erudition about world cinema.Rewizyta is a great work of cinematographic art as it combines both documentary as well as fiction cinema elements in a grand manner. It is one of those rare world cinema films where hardly any judicious distinction can be made about the intermingling of past elements with those of present times. This is because great Polish actors like Maja Komorowska,Jan Nowicki,Daniel Olbrychski,Zbigniew Zapasiewicz and Tadeusz Bradecki play their roles so convincingly that viewers might tend to get confused about present times overlapping with past periods. As far as its international reception is concerned, Rewizyta would surely be liked as one of those films whose inherent philosophy is easy to watch as Mr.Krzysztof Zanussi makes his actors blurt out some of the most essential thought provoking truths about human existence. All of this film's actors have done a great job.The best impact of Rewizyta would be on those bad critics who are hated by acclaimed filmmakers. It is a joy to watch the manner in which they have been sidelined Although Rewizyta is a film for serious cinema admirers but it would also appeal to viewers who are little aware of richness of great Polish cinema. This might be once of the reasons why a young Marek Kudelko has been chosen to sway hearts and minds of young audiences.
