Warning: Spoilers
Lucy, a Swiss teenager, has been dating a young man that we only see through their Skype-like conversations on line. Lucy lives with her unmarried mother Aurore, a busy lawyer, and a younger sister, Malou. By all appearances they are a happy family. It is December and Lucy gets a job as an intern in the state television doing research on old film clips. One day, a fellow intern shows her a picture from a piece he has been working in which the resemblance of the woman in a news program from the past, reminds him strongly of a young Lucy.

At a family dinner, Lucy asks Jacqueline, her grandmother, whether it is her picture she saw in the footage she saw. The newsreel item has to do with the Women's Liberation movement of the late sixties in Switzerland. Lucy is surprised by the reaction from her grandparents. Figuring she must investigate, she goes back to work where she meets a kind man, the keeper of the original materials.

There is one problem though. Lucy decides to give herself a test to see if she is pregnant. To her surprise, she finds it is true. Her relationship with the boyfriend, now in America, caused that. Malou, a precocious girl discovers the condition her sister finds herself in, and Aurore also finds out Lucy's pregnancy. The only solution, Aurore thinks, is an abortion, which is legal in that part of Switzerland.

Through her investigation, Lucy gets to uncover a family secret that has been conveniently forgotten and not spoken of by her grandparents. The secret involves her mother as well. Lucy decides to go ahead with going to America, but at the airport, the day of the departure, she discovers she is not prepared for what she intends to do.

An interesting Swiss television entry that was shown on a French international channel. The film could only have been made in Europe because of the frankness the writer, Stephane Mitchell, deals with the subject. The production was directed by Raymond Vouillamoz, who gets excellent work from his attractive cast, resulting in a film that makes no moral judgment, but has a point of view which some viewers might object to.

We enjoyed the Lucy of Adele Haenel. She gives a luminous performance as the girl in the middle of the story. Irene Jacob plays Aurore, the mother.

Warning: Spoilers
Fun intrigue to start but relatively phoney overall. The reveal and final finds are much too quick and simple for so much mystery. The final decision about baby was too lighthearted to be believed. A quick TV ending.
