    10/10
    Well..
    Warning: Spoilers
That's one way to handle Thanos.

Why didn't anyone think of that move before?
  • Amazing episode, lots of unexpected twists and turns; great concept, great execution. Hyped for the next episode. Well done Marvel!
  • This might be the most soul satisfying thing you will ever come across in marvel.

If this was live action it would had been best Avengers movie.
  • omaansh29 September 2021
This episode really felt unrushed, they had the courtesy to break it into 2 parts. I just can't wait to watch the season finale. It's going to be epic.... wouldn't mind a live action version of it.

Edit: I really love how they beautifully used some of the most underpowered heroes to fight against the most powerful villain.

After watching all other episodes till now, everything look tangled and the threads were let loose. But once this episode progress, I can see how they are trying to thread the loose ends. After Doctor strange episode ,this is simply the best and phenomenal episode. Rarely an animation show/episode exceeds expectations and this is one of that show. A definite watch.

    Warning: Spoilers
I witnessed thanos being killed in 0.4 sec saw vision eating a goddamn universe destroying complete universes in fraction seconds man they have raised the bar real high for multiverse of madness cause this episode set the bar real high.
  • This proves what a powerful movie the Avengers Age of Ultron could've been. This is Marvel at it best.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Wow, where do I even start. The action was outstanding. The Watcher v. Ultron was so fun to watch and so cool to look at. And it made my jaw drop when not only Ultron just kinda found The Watcher without effort, and when The Watcher asked Strange Supreme for help. I might've also been crying when Clint died. This show has had some questionable moments, but I think after this week and next weeks episodes, it'll all be worth it.
  • This episode was so good, probably the best one so far, we finally got to see a proper Ultron, it was so action packed, can't wait for the season finale next week.
  • Warning: Spoilers
This version of Ultron was great to see but after seeing him slice Thanos in half with just the mind stone makes me wonder why Vision never attempted that in Infinity War. Was killing Thanos really that easy?

Also how the hell are Clint and Nat walking around on a radiation filled Earth after every single nuke in the world went off, and somehow have a cellphone signal to call and lure the Ultron drones!!!
  • Warning: Spoilers
Two major issues: 1. Thanos with 5 stones beaten by 1 mind stone beam.

    2. The infinity stones worked outside it's own universe.

Dafuq just happened! Yeah, yeah Marvel is dead. My god, if this is how Marvel follows up to a Party Thor episode, please give me a million more Party Thor episodes. And did we just see HIM? HIM? YOU KNOW WHO I'M TALKING ABOUT, RIGHT? And my boy, isn't The Watcher bonkers. Holy moly, i am never gonna get enough of this episode. I am going to watch it over and over again. Thankyou Kev, you legend!

    MCU? More like MCM!

AmAZING episode. What If...? Has this far been interesting, but now it's exhilarating! The vastness of the MCU has been put to great use. This episode is marvel comics put to screen, beautifully. THIS is how you juggle new scope of the MCU. Emotion, spectacle, hype, this episode and this series has it.
  • Warning: Spoilers
The Infinity stones do not work outside the universe they come from. Atleast it's been like that in the comics and *hinted* at in Loki. And frankly, it makes alot of sense and they should not change that.

But even if they did, they definitely do not work in a space like the Watcher's that exists outside of the multiverse, as we've seen in Loki.

That makes this whole episode pretty dumb.

If you can see past that (and the ridiculous killing of Thanos with 5 Infinity stones using a mindstone beam), then this is a pretty awesome episode!

THIS IS WHAT I WANTED FROM WHAT IF, PURE EPICNESS WITHOUT DEVIATING TOO FAR FROM THE STORIES WE ARE FAMILIAR WITH.

    Warning: Spoilers
The animation is spectacular. I loved every second of it. But I think I have misunderstood the infinity stones. According to my knowledge, infinity stones work only in the universe they are from. So how does Ultron use Infinity Stones to break barrier between the universes and overpower the Watcher? Watcher's power lies beyond a universe whereas Ultron shouldn't be able to survive outside his universe as the Mind Stone that is embedded into his forehead should stop working. But it doesn't.

I loved this episode to be honest. Doctor Strange's and this one are some of the best television I have watched in a while. But I still cannot wrap my head against the Ultron breaking the barrier and fighting in another universe.
  • With a fight scene that is probably one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's best, the Watcher finally shines in the eighth episode of "What If" as he finally gets to do more than watching and narrating.

I absolutely don't get it. Last week was just annoying and insanely stupid in my opinion and this week was outstanding. I'm really looking forward to the finale. I didn't expect the whole watcher thing, but it is amazing. This episode is what I wish Marvel did more of.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Alright, where do I even begin? This episode was really suspenseful, and the first one where we see some cohesion between the previous ones we watched.

Now, to tackle the scene that has everyone's panties in a twist. How could Thanos be killed so easily? Well, while he had all the infinity stones, Thor almost managed to take him out, if only he had gone for the head And Ultron not only cuts him in two halves (his head also), but he also used the element of surprise, as Thanos was just arriving on earth when Ultron took him out without a second thought.

The only reason I detracted a point from rating it a 10 is because I'm not clear on why the infinity stones work in the Watcher's "lair". They were useless in the TVA, as they were "off-world", so shouldn't that apply here too?

Still. As entertaining as the zombie one for sure.
  • Fine this episode is an interesting angle but Ultron with one stone is simply not strong than Thanos with 5 stones.

Should have had Ultron collect the stones before Thanos.
  • Warning: Spoilers
"The thing is, the multiverse that we're observing in What If...? Is supposed to be the same multiverse that spilled out from the end of Loki, right? But Loki established, in one of its great early twists, that the Infinity Stones of one reality are useless outside of that reality. That should mean that Infinity Ultron shouldn't even be able to exist outside of his reality because his brain is powered by the Mind Stone. That's some hyper-focused nerd stuff to point out, but we're talking about What If...? Here, and this show is built to acknowledge and address details like that. It's fudging the established canon of the MCU, and if there's one show that needs to be very careful about doing that, it's this one."
  • Warning: Spoilers
I hope to see other cosmic beings in the next episodes and season. Eternity, Death, Infinity, Entropy, Beyonder, Galactus, One Above All, Living Tribunal.

    Ultron v Thanos xD.
  • Warning: Spoilers
What an epic episode, th fight between The Watcher and Vision(Ultron) was so badass. Eagerly waiting for The Finale.
