Yes, it's a little Chessy but the acting is well done, and I like Camilla Bell in romantic movies. She just needs better scripts and a higher-level production. I am giving a ten because an idiot gave a rating of one and this movie is around a 6 or 7, not a one. It's cute and cheesy but the premise has been done more than once.
7.8 stars.
I have many questions about the results of this movie. First question is: why does it have such a low rating? Second question: why are there so few reviews? Third question: in spite of the apparent indifference by most viewers, why do I like it so much? I will attempt to answer my own questions, so that we can share my theories about entertainment, and what makes people tick in the movie watching business (if there is such a thing. Of course there is...ask any employee of Rotten Tomatoes). Answer to question number one: because the majority of the audience is probably female, and the lead male is not very irresistible. Answer to question number two: that's a tough one to answer. Maybe it aired at a time when something major was simultaneously on television (award ceremonies, football, DWTS, etc...). Answer to question three: it's entertaining, I really like both actors, dialogue is funny and stimulating.
Bottom line, I like this movie a lot and am glad I watched in spite of the low ratings.

Let me start this review by saying Im a huge Camilla Belle fan, have been for years, and I think she is absolutely gorgeous. However this movie is very bland. Camilla Belle has always played it safe in her movie choices and this film is no exception. She is basically playing herself, a kindhearted 30 something woman with an American father and Brazilian mother. The plot is predictable and the acting is lackluster, the two leads have no chemistry whatsoever. Also Camilla got an unfortunate haircut recently so she had to wear a party city wig for this movie. The production couldnt afford a decent wig?
This is not a romantic comedy. It's just romantic! It's a delightfully sweet and nuanced love story with a lot of truth to it.
It might be a bit sugarcoated and very low budget but that does not make it less inspiring.
I really liked the depiction of a developing relationship of two people who weren't "planning to fall in love".
Indeed these two were not falling in love like teenagers and going crazy. They were slowly becoming more fond of each other until they realized that it was actually true love.
The two leads could be a bit more passionate about it and I'd like to have seen at least a few real street scenes as it allegedly played in Chicago - my favorite city in the US - but you can't have it all I guess.

Wonderful script strategically directed by Brian Robert's with no wasted dialogue. Camilla Belle is the mature version of Dakota Johnson with a depth that captures the interest of young and old. We need more of her. This film is far beyond streaming and well worth your time.
