Manager/producer Larry Thompson is making another run for a Southern California congressional seat, this time in a district represented by Rep. Brad Sherman (D-ca).
Thompson has entered the race as a Republican, after seeking a seat as an independent in 2020.
In his kickoff statement, Thompson noted that he had been a talent representative for 50 years and as “either their lawyer or personal manager I have spent a career listening, caring, nurturing, planning, marketing, negotiating, and enhancing their personas and lives. I now want to be a ‘Representative’ of the people who live in our California 32nd District to do those things for them even more profoundly, give them a voice, and empower their lives.”

Shortly before 10 that morning, local milk truck driver Charles Roberts, 32, walked into a one-room schoolhouse in Nickel Mines armed to the teeth. She broke into “the business” before she was 10, grew up too quickly onscreen and off, had many lovers and a shameless stage mom. Myriad health issues — some self-inflicted, some not. Oddball friendships and associations. And a loyal inner circle who swear to her heart of gold. So is she Elizabeth Taylor? Or Lindsay Lohan, the talented but troubled starlet who plays the violet-eyed movie star in Liz & Dick, Lifetime’s much-discussed biopic produced by telefilm whiz Larry A. There may be a lot of truth to the idea that Liz & Dick is (one of) the most talked about movie of the year, but I’m not absolutely sure it’s a claim I would feature.
Good or bad, Lindsay Lohan or no, and if you’re the right crowd, Lifetime or no, there’s no denying that the movie takes on interesting subject matter, and is potentially well worth watching just to catch some glimpse into the lives of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Of course, I don’t know that it has anything to say that isn’t well-worn material, but it’s worth finding out.
What do you think about this one, and is the movie, wherever it lands, overshadowed simply by the fact that Lohan is in it? I’d like to know where the public is coming down on this one. Will you watch?...

After hitting rock bottom, which was roughly around the time she posed for Playboy for $1 million, Lindsay Lohan has begun the long climb back up to the top of the world now that she has been officially cast as Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime’s biopic about the iconic actress. Whether or not she’s even ready to take on such an important project remains to be seen. I’m not sure if Lohan is at the point where she can act well enough to pull this off, but I could easily be wrong. This might be the role that completely turns her career around.
The Hollywood Reporter announced Lohan’s casting as Elizabeth Taylor, a part that she was rumored to be in the running for since January. This is all part of Lohan’s attempt to make a comeback after her many run-ins with the law. Now that her casting in the biopic,...

When this idea was first tossed around back in January, we figured it was yet another publicity stunt by the producers and/or Lindsay Lohan's people to drum up news for the project and the actress whose legal troubles have largely kept her out of movies for the past few years, except for a cameo in Robert Rodriguez's "Machete." But somehow insurers for the movie are appeased that she'll appear on set, as the actress has landed her first lead role since 2009's "Labor Pains" and she'll be taking on a titan.

Lindsay Lohan Set as Liz Taylor for Lifetime?
Here is the Hollywood question of the day, folks. Who would you cast to play Elizabeth Taylor in a new Lifetime movie? Director David Fincher has made Angelina Jolie his very own Cleopatra, which is a role Taylor made famous. Also, Megan Fox, has that dark-haired, light-eyed look, which Liz embodied. But, would Lindsay Lohan make your list of hopefuls? According to this week’s news, the 25-year old could win this part of a lifetime.
According to the Deadline exclusive, despite some notorious bad behavior, Lohan is in preliminary discussions regarding a starring role in the upcoming Lifetime original movie Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story. Richard is Richard Burton.
The picture will be produced by Larry Thompson, who also worked on Amish Grace, the Lifetime original tracing the aftermath of a grievous shooting resulting in the death of five Amish children.

The first trailer for Kiefer Sutherland's Touch has hit the web and if there's one thing to take from it, it's that you should follow the numbers. (In Touch's case, it's all about 318.)
From the mind of Tim Kring (Heroes, Crossing Jordan), Touch tells the story of Martin Bohm (Sutherland), a man who lost his wife in the attacks on the World Trade Center. He has an autistic son named Jake (David Mazouz, Amish Grace) that can predict future events, but he can't speak. (Ironically, Jake's the show's narrator.) Touch also features Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon) as a local professor who is also a number expert and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Undercovers) as a social worker looking into the Bohm family.
Currently without a concrete start date, Touch premieres sometime midseason with a 13 episode first season.
How do you think Touch looks so far? Are you excited to have Sutherland back on TV?...

The movie will be directed by Larry A. Casting someone to play Oprah will be the real challenge. We are planning to audition both known and unknown actresses.”
“Few Hollywood filmmakers are as experienced as Larry Thompson at understanding and dramatically exploring the emotional complexities of famous people,” stated Kitty Kelley.
