In a post-apocalyptic world where cities ride on wheels and consume each other to survive, two people meet in London and try to stop a conspiracy.
Author Philip Reeve, writer of the novel on which the movie is based, published a blogpost on July 19th 2017 that principle photography had ended and he had been invited to the set back in May of the same year. He noted that he had been impressed by the actors and the sets, mentioning that "Most of it looked very much as I'd imagined, except for the bits which looked better."

At several points, Shrike manages to catch up with Hester, even going so far as to know which specific room she is in at Airhaven. Yet it is never explained how he is able to effortlessly track her.
