Sandeep(Allu Arjun) is a rich youngster whose now old enough to marry. When his parents ask him among which of his girlfriends he wants to marry, they get surprised when he wishes to have a traditional arranged marriage of 5 days in which you get to see bride's face only on the wedding day. His parents find a girl deepthi(bhanusree) for him and he likes her on the wedding day. But soon deepthi gets kidnapped by a psycho gangster divakar(arya). Rest of the film is why divakar kidnaps deepthi and how sandeep saves her. The story of the film is very good as it helps today's generation to understand the values of traditional values. Second thing i liked was the music. My favorite song was aidhurojula pelli. Allu arjun's performance was good and arya handled his over the top character well. But where this film fails is when director tries to make it a mass masala film in the second half. He couldn't package the film properly. The film was marketed by not revealing the heroine's face until the release. But that plan backfires as the heroine does not have the required looks nor gives a good performance. Kallalu kaavule song was not picturised well. There were unnecessary dance steps in it. And the climax fight in tower is copied from xmen origins wolverine. On the whole, varudu would have been a great movie if the director had done his work properly.
