A humble businessman with a buried past seeks justice when his daughter is killed in an act of terrorism. A cat-and-mouse conflict ensues with a government official, whose past may hold clues to the killers' identities.
The line from the first trailer, after Jackie Chan says: "Twenty thousand pounds, ("that's all I have" is also omitted from the trailer) for the name of the bombers." The line "That's not how we do things here", spoken by Commander Richard Bromley (Ray Fearon) is not in the final cut. Instead, Commander Bromley responded with, "To be clear, these are vicious men who take pride in their atrocities. This is our work, not yours. You need to be patient." and Quan puts the money away.

In beginning of movie when Quan's daughter gets in his car, he is wearing his seat belt. While driving neither one of them is wearing a seat belt. When they stop, they are both wearing seat belts.
The title is shown as a series of Asian-language characters before it changes into its English title.
Chinese version of film has an extended fight scene and there are a few extra shots in the other fight scenes.
