  • For years video games that are based on movies tend to be poor, Especially Disney one's. I remember the first toy story game i had for my SNES, It was dreadful, But this game is different, It's a blast from start to finish, With plenty of different things to do to make sure the game does not get boring. I bought it for my 4 year old son and he is still playing now after about a month, I enjoyed playing it as well as it is a 2 player game, The toy box mode is brilliant with loads of mini-games and different things to collect, Overall i'd give it 8 out of 10, Which is not only shared by me but by games site IGN who gave it the same. Quality, fun game thats definitely worth buying.
  • Can't say it's as a masterpiece as the movie, but the Toy Story 3 video game is a very enjoyable game. It does contain issues mainly how short the story mode is. I'm not saying the story is bad. In fact, it's executed well how it's based on the movie. It's the story mode could be a little longer and add more gameplay to it. But what saves this game is the biggest highlight. The Toy Box mode. It takes place after the first level and has took time to add stuff for the gamers to play such as pic-o-matics, time laps, toy sets, etc. It gotten better when we gotten to the boss. And the graphics stay true to the movie and is very creative. Overall, it may not be as good as the movie, but it's still a good time for a play date.
  • This is great fun, a worthy tie in for Toy Story 3.

    I enjoyed it thoroughly.

When my daughter was 5 she was totally crazy about the Toy Story movies. When she was 6 we started playing the Xbox Toy Story game. Now she is 13 and we still play it! It's crazy but we have some daddy and daughter quality time. I am an experiences gamer and this game is what you would expect but it is also has got some unexpected things. It's a Toy Story game so you get a lot of Toy Story obviously but this is not a cheap game. It is very extensive and has got sometimes beautiful settings and gamefields. You will not play and end this game in 2 days. There is loads of stuff to do, things to collect and missions to play. Or just select a weapon and hunt eachother down. Also some levels are quite difficult. Not impossible but difficult. Now I am biased but me and my daughter love it.
  • I bought this game with high expectations. These expectations are derived from the Toy Story 2 video game which in my eyes is a great video game adapted from a movie. I'm glad to say that the game didn't disappoint but that's only game play wise. I know movie-video games are limited because the game is adapted from the story but they missed out large chunks of the story and literally focuses on the beginning, middle and end. Nevermind the in between.

Lotso was used once and we saw the friendly side to him. Ken was completely ignored and the Baby is a mere ornament on the shelf. Come to think of it, Mr and Mrs Potato Head are completely missing from the game as well.

Don't get me wrong, there are highlights to the game, one of which being the gorgeous look into the imagination of Andy and Bonnie which makes game play a real treat. The second is the video game of Buzzlightyear that is faithful to the version Rex plays in Toy Story 2.

This game could have been great, every part of the story is fun and it's great alternating between Woody, Buzz and Jesse but I felt that it could have been expanded more. If it wasn't for the nice feature of Toy Box mode, I would have been done with this game in a few hours.
