- Bart's cartoon about an angry dad is turned into "Angry Dad: The Movie" and quickly becomes a critics' favorite. When Russell Brand presents the Golden Globe to Bart's film, Homer usurps the podium and gives his own acceptance speech. The film's winning streak continues with Homer taking credit at each ceremony, so when "Angry Dad" receives an Oscar nomination, Bart keeps it a secret. With the help of DJ Kwanzaa, Homer and Marge arrive at the ceremony just as Halle Berry presents the award. - The episode begins with Bart watching an Itchy and Scratchy based in China about Scratchy using Kung Fu to get revenge on Itchy, but ends up getting tricked and then eaten by him. Bart then gets the idea to set up a skateboard assault course in the house, whilst the family are out for froyo, before nearly getting killed by the ceiling fan. The family clean the house, before the doorbell rings and it is revealed that the person at the door is the owner of the company that creates the aero chair and tells them that the creators of "Angry Dad" ordered a lot of his chairs, but chaos started and they didn't pay for the chairs, so he repossessed their cartoons. He then proceeds to say he wants to create a movie based on Angry Dad and the family agree. Bart and Homer visit the production company and give them some real life ideas. One of the producers then asks if Homer can do the voice and he angrily agrees. Bart, Lisa and the producers do a run through of the script, while Homer reads from the power plant, enjoying Taco Tuesday. The film is finally shown and it is revealed that the audience did not like the movie and Lisa suggests that they turn his movie into a short film and Luigi comes to tell the Simpsons that Angry Dad was nominated for a golden globe. The family arrive at the golden globes and Lisa tells the producers of "Mixar" that she cannot believe that Bart is in the same category as them, to which Randy Newman starts singing "you've got an enemy". Ricky Gervais then goes for a Tanqueray Gin and Tonic and tips $10, but sneakily steals it back. Russell Brand then goes on to present the nominees, the brothers of beauville, Saakashvilli Spring, Condiments by Mixar and Angry Dad, who ultimately wins the globe and Bart goes up to receive the award, but Homer grabs all the credit and Marge tells Bart not to worry, but Homer does the same thing time after time. In a hotel room, Bart receives a phone call telling him that Angry Dad has been nominated for an Oscar, but doesn't tell Homer. On the night of the Oscars , Bart and Lisa (who is wearing a scarf from Lamps Plus) walk on the red carpet, while Homer and Marge stare at Watts Towers, before the rollin 80s notice who Homer is and tell him that he was Oscar-blocked. Back at the Oscars, Bart begins to be agitated that Homer might find out and arrive, as Halle Berry goes through a clip from each nomination, Condiments, Willis and Crumble in Better Gnomes and Gardens by Nick Park and Angry Dad and it is revealed that Angry Dad won the Oscar, which Homer sees. Bart goes up and finally receives the award for himself, but quickly realizes that it isn't just his movie and when Homer hears him say it was his movie too, he apologizes for hogging all the credit. Bart and Homer take the Oscar and cut off a slice of the Oscar for everyone, in a plan to order another on eBay for $5. The episode ends with Ricky Gervais giving Ridley Scott his ideas, before Ridley reveals that he is just a seat filler.
