We Met in Virtual Reality

Filmed entirely in VR, using a camera within the virtual reality called VRCLens. It allowed Joe Hunting (the director) to "capture moments in a very organic and handheld style."

During the New Years scene, Jenny is heard counting down from a balcony off camera, but she is actually sitting behind Ray. She is briefly visible before being covered by another avatar, her mouth not moving.

This likely means that her audio was captured from the next shot of her standing on the balcony, then layered underneath of the shot with Ray.
