PG-13 | | Action, Adventure, Fantasy
The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain, has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O'Dim, also known as the Man in Black, determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black.
During the first act of the film, several Stephen King Easter eggs are visible. The twins from The Shining (1980), the hotel from The Shining (but in a photograph), the family (including the dog) from Cujo (1983), and the car from Christine (1983) (as the toy pushed by Jake in his room) are each shown ... ...
I'm sworn to defend the Tower. I'll stop at nothing to defend it.
Roland starts out with a wounded right arm, using his left to shoot and to pay the doctor with a coin in the hospital, but on the bus he takes pills and drinks a Coke with his right arm while holding his left arm limp.
Right at the very end of the credits, you hear the ominous whistle.
