Question: I’m having Walking Dead withdrawal already. Help! —Nick
Ausiello: Help is on the way, Nick — literally. Ahead of Season 8’s Saviors/Scavengers-vs.-Alexandria/Hilltop/Kingdom war, AMC’s monster smash is casting two new recurring good guys: Dillon, a sexy, blue-collar twentysomething whose survival skills include sarcasm, and Abbud, an innately likable Muslim American whose nerves are, let’s say, jangled, because he’s flown solo for too long in zombieland. Of the pair, the former...

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Tuesday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best show currently on TV?” can be found at the end of this post.)
This week’s question: Which is the best show to watch under the influence?
Tim Surette (@timsurette), TV.com
I haven’t, but my friend has. My friend says this is the golden age for under-the-influence television watching thanks to Peak TV covering just about every niche out there, particularly in the alternative comedy arena. It’s like today’s television was made by stoners for stoners! Just look at the great psychoactive-friendly comedies out there right now: “Baskets,” “Broad City,” “Man Seeking Woman,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Nathan For You,” “Review,” “Rick and Morty”… just about everything labeled a comedy that airs after 10 p.m. in your...

At the height of the ’60s they famously sang “All You Need is Love,” yet a letter from John Lennon to Paul McCartney shows that love was literally the last thing on anyone’s mind after the demise of The Beatles.

“Mum” was the word on everyone’s lips as Fox’s Lucifer launched its second season — and yet the helluva matriarch’s whereabouts spawned quite a guessing game for much of the hour.

Is Once Upon a Time conjuring an extreme makeover? Just how bad a boy is Supernatural‘s Dean? Will Outlander tilt your kilt? What adversaries await Arrow and his fast friend The Flash? Read on for answers to those questions plus teases from other shows.
I’m loving the Hook/Swan thing on Once Upon a Time, but something is bothering me: How long will Emma put up with his choice of clothing? Come on, they’re not in Ftl anymore and no one else is dressed as such. A shower and some nice clothes just might move Emma in the right direction.

It’s the month of October. It’s Halloween. No, not the day itself, but tis the season. That means we need to focus on some truly excellent 80’s horror surrounding our beloved holiday. Sure we could give the rehash job to Halloween and its subsequent sequels, but that’s not entirely in spirit of the game although I can assure you that I’m working on something that focuses on the Carpenter magnum opus. Today we’re going to focus on some horror flicks that are about Halloween, but aren’t John Carpenter’s Halloween. Let’s talk about The Day After Halloween, Trick or Treats, Lady in White in our first It Came From 1980X triple feature offering. Each of these movies incorporates something of the Halloween spirit and only one of them actually gets any street cred for being an honest to goodness creep out. There’s...

Her anti-gay platform has alienated parts of her family. A mentor she described as a "great influence" has a history of addresses to white supremacists. A book she collaborated on advocates theocracy. Rep. Michele Bachmann's impressive performance at Monday's debate has catapulted her near the front of the Gop pack, but the radical roots of her ideology remain poorly understood. The Daily Beast's Michelle Goldberg reports.
In April 2005, Pamela Arnold wanted to talk to her state senator, Michele Bachmann, who was then running for Congress. A 46-year-old who worked at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Arnold lived with her partner, the famed Arctic explorer Ann Bancroft, on a farm in Scandia, Minnesota. Movie Review: Help; Star cast: Bobby Deol, Mugdha Godse, Shreyas Talpade, Sophie Handa, Jyoti Dogra and Salim Fatehi; Director: Rajeev Manoj Virani; Rating: *** – Has the chills and thrills.
Rajeev Manoj Virani’s Help is a well made horror film that succeeds in giving you the requisite chills and thrills expected out of a good horror film but the problem lies with the unoriginality of the plot that seems heavily inspired from Thai film Alone.
Vic (Bobby Deol) is a filmmaker in a relationship with Pia (Mugdha). There relationship is going through turmoil because.

As critics will no doubt point out, the trailer for Rajeev Virani's Help plays like a slick compilation of greatest hits from a wide assortment of other, better known horror films, only with the added benefit of an attractive woman in a bikini thrown into the middle of it. I say what, exactly, is the problem with this? Heh.
Bollywood has a long history of dabbling in horror films and, while never as popular as the musical melodramas that flood the market, there is a healthy appetite for scares there. Compared to the total number of films (which is in the 1000s) that Bollywood churns out every year, you could count the total number of horror movies on the fingers of one hand. Virani studied his movie making in the Us which may explain why the films style seems to lack the usual overdosed of melodrama, that Indian audiences (and another plus, not a song and dance routine in sight) enjoy. Help opens in India August 13th, looks like I may well have to take a trip to my local Indian DVD store, sometime soon. Link to the films official site below, where you can check out some great looking trailers. Synopsis: Vic (Bobby Deol) is a...
