  • I am surprised that no one bothered to write review for this movie which is one of it's kind exploring a very common issue of "FEMALE FANDOM" and that too of none other than "THE PRINCE" aka Mahesh Babu. I would like to divide my review in to two category:

1.) Technicalities: Though I don't understand technical details, there were few evident things that could not be ignored. The novel presentation of the screenplay will develop an instant liking for the movie. Introduction of the characters at right pace and their interplay with the plot is perfect. Background score gives the magical touch making the scenes and the plot enjoyable to the core! Climax could have been better but whatever is presented is not so bad. (I read about poor climax in the critical reviews.) Let's say after all it's a movie and not real life so it's acceptable.

2.) Characters and performances: All the actors deserve a rapturous applause for awesome depiction of the characters. But Anand aka Srinivas Avsarala is definitely the icing on the cake. He is not just a character but the Sutradhara of the plot and has done his job quite well. Watching him perform reminded me of classic comedians like Om Prakash. He has a very good comic timing.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this good, clean and indeed a funny comedy.
  • A story of namesakes, build with lies and ends somewhat seriously.

Its funny in many places, and characterization is good specifically of Anand. Based on Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest", the movie is well adapted to the nativity of Telugu people. Comedy is what the genre of film is, but dramatic is it's ending, which may be debated over. But till a good point, the film goes well.

Acting is good for a rare time in Telugu Film, where all actors have done well. This appreciation would go to Director, Mohan Indraganti who has extracted good acting from novice actors. All said and above, he must also be appreciated for the writing of dialogues. Also, To Srinivas Avasarala who has improvised in many places, especially the way he calls out others names.

Life is simple if taken simply, but can be chaotic because of self obsessions, Mahesh, famed actor Mahesh Babu is an obsession for Lavanya and so is his name, the film revolves just about that idea.

It ain't as engaging or too very engrossing but yet a good fun watch, which may bring laughter back. I did watch it alone and was laughing for most of the time. Thanks for giving us a little treat in a place, where films are rotten with undue comedy.

    A 3/5 and I say, it's a good movie.
  • I happened to watch this movie again for I guess, nth time while on my flight back to Hyderabad. I then decided to rate it in IMDb as well.

This is a completely refreshing movie apart from the stereotypical movies made generally in Telugu Film Industry. A novel story line, with beautiful characters and their characterization. I loved the fact that every character in the movie has some role to play, he has some place in the story and has some "dialogues".

There isn't a single minute of boredom in the entire duration of the movie which is actually worth applauding. Climax is fun totally.

    Overall an amazing watch.
  • A movie that is worth every penny u spent, full length entertainment assured with a fresh comedy and also from fresh faces who performed as per the necessity for the role. Nani and srinivas were the sole reason for the success of the film.... Thanks for the director for going against the norms of the Telugu industry and avoiding unnecessary action scenes and irritating comedy scenes.

This movie should be an eye opener for all the big heroes and some directors in the industry to know that the perspective of audience has changed and they no longer want to see unnatural heroism and comedy scenes which almost always involve routine presentation.
  • I didn't have high expectations for the film but it exceeded them really well.

I am surprised this is Nani's debut considering how well he did, he was extremely charismatic, funny and entertaining like always.

The first 20mins of the film has some really cringe mahesh babu fan fare and it's not that fun to watch, its still throughout the movie but its not enough to be annoying.

The film has perfect humor past the 22min mark, most of the jokes are actually funny and the plot is absurd enough to keep you to the end of the movie, it's the perfect stoner movie.

Im probably going to rewatch the movie skipping the first 20mins. Really entertaining movie with great humor and just the right amount of simplicity.
