Norah Jones: Thinking About You

A soft romantic song alligned with one of the cutest music videos of all time, "Thinking About You" is an effective work of art, talent and creativity that never fails in surprising or bringing me joy.

Here, Norah Jones and a couple appear in several shots that seem designed to look as if being one continous shot where each characters thoughts are seen through clouds over their heads that substitutes for another character and another thought. Example: a guy is on a living room thinking about a girl who is thinking about her fear of crowds while appearing on stage singing a song so she pictures the audience members not wearing clothes, and in turn one of the audience members has his thoughts on something else and the stream flows on and on until we get back to the beginning inside of a train where Jones is a passenger.

I don't know how they did this in the editing room but it looks amazing. There's humor, romance, a deep co-relation with life events that happens to us and we feel lots of things each thought rushes by inside those characters heads. My personal favorite moment is when the character is sleeping and the thought cloud forms sheeps jumping over a fence that later evolves to alarm clocks jumping the fence and then a giant alarm clocks wakes Norah out of her bed. It's a very humorous image and one we can all relate with.

As for the song, "Thinking About You" is pure magic with its soft jazz sounds, the melody and harmony, and the sweet words that echoes the feelings of thiking about the loved one, the longing for another moments with this special someone and all. It's fascinating and my favorite track of Norah. I strongly recommend this clip. 10/10.
