MADEMOISELLE DE Paris turns out to be assembly-line French porn, from Marc Dorcel. It's marketed as being innovative, the video's content having been structured on the basis of input from 900 users of the mydorcel website, but you know the old cliché: too many cooks...
Actual culprit is director Hervé Bodilis, who indeed takes credit despite the numerous helpers, all of whom duly get listed in the end credits. Bodilis turns out mainly hackwork as Dorcel's chief house director, though occasionally he gets to shine with a big budget and starry cast on one of the French magnate's super productions (e.g., FRENCH CONNEXION or CASINO, NO LIMIT).
MADEMOISELLE's budget is trumpeted as "big" too, but this emerges as standard fare about some free-wheeling Parisian beauties and their cornball sexual liaisons. Despite web input (looks like even porn is now being reduced to the Madison Ave. electrodes-on-viewers testing and Focus Groups approach of TV mass marketing) scenes are the routine pick-ups, voyeurism, troilism and lesbian sex one is accustomed to in Euro porn.
Certainly Jade Laroche as the leading lady is a lovely newcomer, already making an impression on me in her previous Bodilis quickie THE SUMMER OF MY 19TH YEAR. Other familiar stock players Nina Roberts and Jessica Fiorentino add their allure, but overall the femme cast is disappointing for a Dorcel opus. Male cast, led by big-dicked Ian Scott, goes through the motions. Despite the Parisian setting, this is not as glamorous as one would expect.
Overshadowing the feature completely are the DVD extras, which make the overall package rewarding. A 19-minute short subject, touted as the first such "directed by a web user" (sorry Hervé, you get no credit) is tremendously arousing and highly recommended. It consists of game playing by husband and wife James and busty brunette Angelika, as she ties him up and blindfolds him fetishistically, starting to service him but midway through substitutes willowy blonde Aleksa. Of course, the blindfold gets removed and we have a powerful three-way. Both actresses are uncredited but were terrific, and I hope to see more of them in future.
Finally, a compilation video titled "Best of Sex in Paris", running over 2 hours long, has very stimulating Dorcel scenes taken from previous videos. Laura Lion, Katsumi (billed here under her new revisionist moniker Katsuni, but she was Katsumi when she shot this stuff), Roberts, Fiorentino and superstar Angel Dark are fab in this program, not listed in IMDb.
