Psychologist Margaret Matheson and her assistant study paranormal activity, which leads them to investigate a world-renowned psychic who has resurfaced years after his toughest critic mysteriously passed away.
In the video lab where Buckley works, there is a copy of the famous poster "I Want To Believe" from The X-Files (1993), but the quote is changed to "I Want To Understand".

Silver reveals to the TV host he knew it was a spoon she was holding because its handle was sticking out from her pocket earlier, not because he is psychic. However, if he were blind he wouldn't have been able to have seen this.
SPOILER: This may be incorrectly regarded as a goof if it is a very early tell that he is not actually blind, a significant plot twist not otherwise revealed until the very end of the film.
At the end of the ending credits, the film's title flickers in a similar manner to the way light bulbs behave in the presence of psychic activity throughout the film.
