| A better than average take on the over done "evil Japanese" plot
It starts with a fight and teacher is stabbed. Despite that he was winning until Chen Hung-Lieh entered and finished him off. The school goes for revenge in haste. That never works. Result? The evil Japanese have taken over the town. A man, Tien Peng, comes by claiming he also wanted to kill teacher. Tsai Hung then kills a girl that Tien Peng was about to visit. He follows Tsai Hung and kills him. Cheung Ching- Ching arrives at the Japanese boss place and insults Chen Hung-Lieh. She ends up working for the Japanese boss. She has a hidden agenda as does Tien Peng.

This movie is relatively obscure and hard to find yet it has high production values and a well written script. My copy has dual Chinese and English hard subtitles. This seems to indicate it came from a laser disk but the resolution falls short. More important, I am sure something is missing in the subtitle translation. The relationship between the main characters and their motivation is complicated and I'm sure I'm not getting all the intrigue from the translated dialog. Nevertheless the movie was engaging for plot as well as action. I rate it slightly above average for the year and genre and recommend it for all fans of martial arts movies from the golden age 1967-1984.
