I found this film to be OK but my opinion regarding Flutie's inability to speak with enough confidence stemmed from all the stresses in her personal life ... how her father and brother never got along and always fighting. Years of enduring that took its toll on her. Growing up is hard enough but to grow up in a dysfunctional family like the way she had to was even harder. I believe that this affected her psychological well-being and thus ended up affected her confidence and ability to speak.

Unfortunately Frank couldn't cope with the accident which caused him to commit suicide. I believe that was from all the years of not being able to get along with his father. Anyways... this film has earned a 7 out of 10 in my books.
